29.04.2022 Check out the WA Flute Competition this weekend! This coming weekend is the 2021 WA Flute competition which is an event I help organise. It was meant to be in May, but postponed due to lockdown. Some of my students will be playing, though it is also an amazing opportunity for all flute students to hear other flute students play. You can learn so much and discover new flute music. It is all very inspiring. I highly recommend that everyone goes and has a listen to a section o...r two. It is being held at held at the Rodgers Room in the new wing at St George’s College (UWA) on mounts bay rd. Sections start at 10am on both Saturday 11/9/21 and Sunday 12/9/21 and run to about 4pm. It start on Saturday with the 10 years and under and finishes with the Open solo section (university level students) on the Sunday a which begins around 1pm. The competition start time will be 11:00am WA time this Sunday 3rd May starting with the Under 11's, then Under 13's, Under 15's, Under 18's, Open Solo and Orchestral Excerpts. 03.01.2022 I did this singing workshop with the WA Opera last year and it was amazing. Had so much fun and learnt so much about singing. They are doing another workshop starting 13th April for 6 weeks virtually online and it is FREE! I urge you all to sign up. Even a workshop for beginners.
