22.01.2022 Last night was the launch of TWICE NOT SHY, published by Night Parrot Press and edited by Laura Keenan and Linda Martin. I’m thrilled to have two short short stories in this little book (and to finally go to the launch after it was postponed due to Covid). This is a book of short stories for adults, and it’s available directly from the publisher and from independent bookstores around Perth.

15.01.2022 From the Eric Carle Team: It is with heavy hearts that we share that Eric Carle, author and illustrator of The Very Hungry Caterpillar and many other beloved cl...assics, passed away on Sunday, May 23rd at the age of 91. When asked why he thinks The Very Hungry Caterpillar has remained popular for so long, Carle said, I think it is a book of hope. Children need hope. You, little insignificant caterpillar can grow up into a beautiful butterfly and fly into the world with your talent. Thank you, Eric Carle for sharing your great talent with so many generations of young readers. #RememberingEricCarle

14.01.2022 Fremantle (WA) event this Saturday:

11.01.2022 Most of you will know me as a children's writer, but I do occasionally write for grown-ups too. I'm really thrilled to have two flash fiction pieces (i.e. extremely short stories!) in this forthcoming anthology for grown-ups, out in April 2021. [Image shows the cover of Twice Not Shy: One hundred short short stories, edited by Laura Keenan & Linda Martin and published by the wonderful Night Parrot Press.]
