22.01.2022 Back to work today after a weeks break. It’s so important to unwind and recharge in this industry, and this has been my first break since the depth of covid last year. What did I do in my holiday.......nothing too special, I simply stayed home, slept, swam, took over the dinner duties from hubby and once I had forgotten what day of the week it was, I knew I was in holiday mode!... It’s feeling good to be back, and knowing I have another week off next month is nice to have on the horizon too

07.01.2022 What’s a challenge? This year has begun with me stepping completely out of my comfort zone by learning to love running! Four weeks in now, and we are only just at the friends stage. I’ve never ran 5km’s, let alone 10, and only dreamt of being able to run 20km’s, which is the distance I am aiming to run in May for a half marathon. To one honest, I’ll be happy to make the 10km’s and call it a day ... I’m in my 40th year this year, is this what people call a mid life crisis? Hope not! So, I’m training, and I am pretty lucky to call this beach my training pad. This morning Gav and I in our sleepy state ventured down to the beach before we were awake enough to realise what we were doing, by the time I had woken up I was already 1km in - whoop whoop. As I was admiring the sunrise this morning I was contemplating the sun rays shining down... and it got me thinking, what do rays of sunshine represent for you? For me, I think of loved ones passed before me, they represent happiness, warmth, peace, tranquility and a sense of loved ones looking over us. Call me way too imaginative but that’s what I see.
