01.01.2022 October is my birthday month!! So how can I give back whilst making a small difference ? I thought why not donate some much needed funds to the Heart Foundation.... Heart disease kills 48 people daily in Australia! These statistics are alarming for all to grapple. I know how frightening this can be, 2 years ago, I was diagnosed with HEART Failure! It was HUGE shock for someone who is always positive about life and I always try to live life in the most enriching way, full of experiences, people, places and the world - through travel. This was tough being told I had heart failure. It was like time had stopped. As an over thinker my mind raced uncontrollably and I started to think the worse. I started reading the statistics and thought I was only going to live for 5 years. My life was in a spin. Being an extremely open person with friends and family. I found at this time, I retreated to try and understand what I was just told and process everything with this new diagnosis. I never ask for pity or nor do I have a woe me attitude. But things have changed a little now, like I can’t climb a live volcano or jump out of a plane ! But I am so lucky as I have been able to experience some of these fabulous things all ready. But once I was able to see through the storm and have all my medications working, things started to look up. So, having the outlet to spend time on my own and create beautiful things. This brought me so much joy, it was a process of distraction and healing that I cherished and still do. So, I am going to do a bit for my birthday month and from every sale in the month of October I will donate $1 to The Heart Foundation. I will post the final amount to be donated in early November. Together, we can make heart disease history, place your hand on your heart and make a pledge: together we can support Australia's leading heart health researchers. We all have a story to tell and we never know what others are facing in life, but sharing your story is the most powerful thing you can do
