I thought I would share my tree with you and hope that you take some ph...otos of yours when you put yours up, so I can share and spread some Christmas Spirit. I have been collecting decorations from all over the world for 40 years and each one has a special memory. Now I buy my 5 beautiful grandchildren one each year as a gift. 08.02.2022 Be on the lookout Gamba grass has been found on Horn Island. This is a serious weednever found in the Torres Strait before. Gamba grass is very flammable. It... is a big risk for bushfires and a threat to people, property and the environment. We need your help Gamba grass will be seeding now so is easier to find. Look for: clumps up to 4m tall. V-shaped seed heads hairy leaves with a white line running down the middle. We are working with @Torres Shire Council to find Gamba grass and control it. Let’s stop this weed from taking hold in the Torres Strait and help protect ailan kastom. If you think you have seen Gamba grass, take a photo of the leaf and seeds and make a note of where you found it, then contact our biosecurity officer Michael on 0436 857 128 or the department on 13 25 23.
