24.01.2022 #bamboochair is now SOLD!! Aww. I’ll be sad to see him go. He’s a goodie this one - pretty tragic when I picked him up (the ‘before’ photo is blurry but you can see what I was dealing with). He was originally going to have a navy and white nautical vibe but I’m happy with the #pinacolada flavour he ended up with. The buyer is away until June 9 but didn’t want to miss it, so he’s off to get wrapped up and stored somewhere safe this morning. 23.01.2022 We’ve just finished some new dining chairs!! Think we’ll tweet them to Trump for his opinion -maybe check in when his wall is supposed to be finished. I wish I could get someone else to pay for all my projects.

He was bound for the tip because his drawer was broken. This table was given to me as a freebie when I bought a dining table and chairs on #gumtree The previous owner was going to chuck it because the drawer had lost some screws and was broken. A little #liquidnails later and some TLC & #decoupage and you’ve got yourself a gorg little #vanitytable, #desk or #hallwayconsole. The pineapple print is perfect for a fresh summer update, don’t you think? 19.01.2022 I’ve got #sunflowers on the brain today. Weird how synchronicity brings something to your attention again and again. My beau and I were talking about the sunflower field in Byron on Saturday, then @raissapegoraro showed me some pretty sunflower placemats she won this morning and so this pic just seemed a natural choice today to show the ‘Frida’ lamp I upcycled. 15.01.2022 This little upcycled stool has just been sold. He was a rusty, sunbleached mess when I found him. Sandpaper, elbow grease, lashings of candy pink enamel and a handmade cushion brought him back to life though. And no, your eyes aren’t deceiving you, those handmade tassels do indeed sport mini Pom Poms, inside a larger Pom Pom, topped by two additional rows of Pom Poms. Because you can never have too many. Hahaha! I’m so close on finishing the new online shop and really need to get a wriggle on, because at the rate I’m going I’ll be sold out of stock by the time it’s live!

14.01.2022 Can you believe it? Our online store is FINALLY open! So whoever said you can’t do everything yourself was wrong. You totally can. It’ll just take you nine months, when you think it’s going to take a weekend or two. oh well, it’s here now. Fashionably late, is what I’m going with. Now.... where’s that ulcer medication?
11.01.2022 Another ‘Nipple Hex Shadow Box’ shot. (Clearly I’m going to try and mention the name as often as possible. ) oh and fun fact, the chain was originally one I got with a clutch handbag. I just gave it a liberal spritz of mandarin enamel and bingo bango, had myself an upcycled hanging system, didn’t I? (Because orange paint can upgrade a ‘chain’ to a ‘hanging system’ apparently. An entire SYSTEM, no less). Love it when a plan comes together.
09.01.2022 Shadow Box close up. This is an upcycled, vintage automotive parts storage drawer I’ve had for years and years but didn’t know what to do with. It has Hex Nipples handwritten on the top and yes, ou are completely right if you think I bought it solely because of the word nipple. Please don’t ever assume I’m above such childish humour. I absolutely am not. Anyway, it worked out in the end.
09.01.2022 A little #kmarthack here for all those who know #its5oclocksomewhere - This little bamboo bathroom caddy was pretty blah and not getting much use. So I coloured him up, added gold castors + a gold handle & voila! It’s #margaritas on the deck time! #bartrolley at a bargain price tag. Check out my Sister’s dog Ruby in the last shot too. 07.01.2022 Our 4 #mexicanstyle dining chairs are now SOLD! We delivered on Friday to the customer’s sister’s address as the customer was working. I commented Your sister must love bright colours! and she said errr, yeah, I think so?... that made me a little nervous I left with fingers crossed hoping and the customer wouldn’t be shocked (the paints I’m using now are from Barcelona and are the most #AMAZING rich hues. Honestly photos don’t do them justice.) Fortunately any fea...rs were put to rest when we received a lovely thank you note from the customer to say she LOVED the fabric and colours - and could we find/make some other furniture to match! So I’m super stoked. When I started doing these projects I really didn’t know if anyone else would love the bold colours and out there styles I like. I’ve always just thought it was me who was a bit weird - because I never saw bright, cool, different pieces in stores. And anytime I did, I snapped them up quick smart. 03.01.2022 Working on some hand drawn art on a matte black vanity today. Using #posca paint pens brings back many a fond graffitiing memory. The image I’m using as reference is one of about a bazillion the #BritishMuseum recently made public domain. Jolly good show old chaps, cause I’m loving this one’s #ArtNouveau vibes. I might also add a #Shakespeare quote or two on the sides of the vanity... why? Well, because contrary to what Friday night might have to say, I’m actually totally high brow like that mmkay. 03.01.2022 Finished last night - Zé flamingo ottoman! It was headed for my sister’s wheelie bin so I grabbed it, pulled it apart, reupholstered it and reconfigured it to have storage space inside. And added little wheels. Because all things must have wheels.... that’s how I roll. couldn’t help it. Before & After post coming soon.

Two finished this weekend; some cool vibrant blue dining chairs with a Mexican vibe (pics to come later today) and a coffee table you can check out in stories. I’ve got a three piece Queen Anne Lounge setting AND a vintage cane couch I’m itching to get my mitts on!!! Eeee!!! Love #sundays meanwhile, not entirely loving this muito frio weather. 01.01.2022 Say whaaa?! Take a look at the sorry state this TV & #entertainmentunit was in, prior to us having at it with our paint stripper, sanding paper and vision for a better, brighter world of #furniture. I get my biggest kicks from transforming the saddest of sad sack pieces, and this handy storage cabinet on wheels was no exception. The paneling/detail on the doors was the starting point to get the #inspo flowing. I suddenly remembered some woven cane I’d salvaged from the ba...cks of two Queen Anne chairs and after a bit of digging in the garage... bingo! With them in place I felt I should go with a fresh #tropical feel - a bit of a #glam island vibe, Yknow? I even made the little red tassel (I can’t leave the site of an #upcycling project without leaving a pop of colour behind.) Oh, and how gorg is the keyhole plate?! *satisfied sigh* It’s now ready for its new home.
