25.01.2022 Facebook Tip Tuesday. Create a good balance of original and shared posts. You don't want the majority of posts on your Facebook page to be shared from elsewhere. Think a 70/30 split.

24.01.2022 Facebook Tip Tuesday. Stats: Facebook makes it easy to see the reach of individual posts, and these are often the numbers that can bring you down and send you into crisis mode. Instead of focusing on reach from a granular level like individual posts, it makes more sense to take a step back and view your reach on a daily and weekly basis

23.01.2022 Healthcare Practice Tip. Everyone should have their own ‘Not To Do’ list. Sit down regularly and make a list of all the things you have spent time on that have had no positive impact on your practice. It’s smart to post your ‘Not To Do’ list where you’re can see it easily so you’re reminded to do more productive things that give a better return on the time you spend in your practice.

22.01.2022 Facebook Tip Tuesday. It is important to use your company logo as your profile picture which is the right size. It is the image which represents your business in a user’s news feed so it is vital that it is instantly recognisable. Try not to change it on a regular basis because you’ll just end up losing followers who don’t recognise your page

22.01.2022 Critical thinking is the ability to make decisions, solve problems and take appropriate action. This is a skill that should be mastered by any practice owner, so here are tips to help you become a better thinker in practice life. Take a pause before making a decision. Some decisions require the instinctive brain, others the emotional and the rest the rational brain. Taking a brief pause of a few seconds will allow the appropriate brain the necessary time to function.Decisions should not be made in isolation. Thinking is, in many ways, an individual activity. However, this does not mean that most decisions should be made in isolation. The more people are involved in making a decision, the more successful it tends to be. With differing points of view, you will get better ideas as each person can draw from his or her own experience.

21.01.2022 Celebrate International Women's day and be bold for change. #BeBoldForChange

21.01.2022 Use On-Hold Messages To Communicate With Patients In Your Practice When patients call your practice it’s inevitable that occasionally they have to be placed on hold. Even well-staffed healthcare practices can’t avoid this. You certainly want to minimize the occasions that you do place patients on hold, but when you do, I strongly suggest that you use an on-hold message in your telephone system. As opposed to a patient listening to music, or worst of all, listening to nothing, an on-hold message allows you to market to the patient about your practice.

20.01.2022 Facebook Tip Tuesday. Social media channels offer a great opportunity for businesses to connect further with the folks who love their brand. By increasing the level of transparency of your posts your building and strengthening the relationship you’re developing. People want to get to know you, your story, and why you’re in business. Give them an inside look and you’ll be rewarded with long term business.

20.01.2022 Facebook Tip Tuesday. Have some fun. Facebook gives you the opportunity to be more light hearted than your website. See something funny or cute in your newsfeed then share it on your business page (within reason). We're all human and sometimes need a break from normal posts, and this is one of my all time favourite YouTube videos. http://ow.ly/OoK63061VYR

19.01.2022 Facebook Tip Tuesday. Having Facebook Like buttons on your website and blog can direct traffic from these channels to your Facebook Page, turning blog readers and customers into social media fans. Entice them into liking your Page with a CTA for example, Like our page to stay up to date with the latest products and promotions!

19.01.2022 Facebook Tip Tuesday. Do you promote Facebook page in your clinic, and encourage patients to follow it? By putting up a simple poster in the reception area and encouraging patients to "check in" and "like" your page you could easily increase the number of page likes.

19.01.2022 Facebook Tip Tuesday. Pay special attention to your Facebook insights to see when the majority of your fans are browsing through Facebook. Post and adjust to those times to hit them at just the right moment.

19.01.2022 Facebook Tip Tuesday. Timing is everything. You could share your post at any time of the day and night. Facebook never sleeps. However, it makes sense only to share when a significant percentage of your audience is online to see your update. Timed correctly, your post will be seen, clicked, and interacted with. Timed incorrectly, your post will disappear into the dark abyss of your fans' Facebook feed.

19.01.2022 Facebook Tip Tuesday. Statistically speaking, one of the best ways of engaging followers and even getting more followers is to run innovative contests on your business page on Facebook. Contests engage followers simply because they tap into people’s competitive attitude and thrill seeking traits. Just be sure to adhere to AHPRA's social media guidelines.

17.01.2022 Facebook Tip Tuesday. According to Apryl Pilolli of Cox Media, in 2015, 75% of video Facebook views come via mobile. The next thing to ask yourself is where do people most commonly watch videos on their phones? Maybe in a meeting when they’re bored or on a train during their daily commute? In those circumstances it is very unlikely you’re going to play that video with sound, unless you don’t mind a ticking off from the boss or a thick ear from a fellow passenger That is why it is a good idea for any promotional video created for Facebook to include what you’re trying to say in text form. Yes it can include audio as well and you don’t want a video to be filled with text from every corner but keep in the back of your mind that your video could very likely be viewed without the sound turned up.

15.01.2022 Facebook Tip Tuesday. Facebook’s advertising tools have come a long way. For a few dollars you can get your Facebook page in front of the people who would be most interested in what you have to offer. Promote your page with Facebook ads and reach the people you’re trying to reach only much quicker

14.01.2022 Facebook Tip Tuesday. Celebrate your team's achievements; birthdays, weddings, new qualifications etc. Create a post about what's happening within your practice and team it with a (behind the scenes) photo or video.

11.01.2022 Facebook Tip Tuesday. Don't get involved with controversial topics, such as anti-vaccination. You could end up upsetting and alienating half your fans.

11.01.2022 Facebook Tip Tuesday. Humour can be a powerful tool if used in the right way. Humour creates engagement because it’s so universal. A funny GIF, meme, or update creates an emotional connection between the poster and the reader. Experiment by adding a bit of humour to your update and see if it resonates with your fans.

11.01.2022 Facebook Tip Tuesday. Facebook or LinkedIn? Well the two are very different propositions. Facebook is more about communicating and creating a community with your fans, whereas LinkedIn is about creating and developing business contacts.

10.01.2022 Healthcare Practice Tip. Make sure you pick good people to build your practice with, as they’ll determine 80% of your success. The best people are honest and have lots of enthusiasm. Don’t worry too much about their level of experience when you’re interviewing, as the right attitude always delivers much more than just experience. If you match the right person to the right position, that takes advantage of their natural talents, you’ll build a powerful team of workers with all the strength needed to build a big practice. If you spot a complainer, fire them right away. Complainers are like thieves, robbing you and your company of its good energy. Your whole team’s outlook will shine brighter once you’re rid of them.

09.01.2022 Facebook Tip Tuesday Remember it's a Long-Term Investment With a Facebook page, it's not "If You Build It They Will Come" -- that only works in a Kevin Costner movie! Successful social media marketing takes time, hard work and patience.

09.01.2022 Facebook Tip Tuesday. Broadcasting to the world is no longer a function capable by only large media companies. Anyone can now jump onto Facebook and with a click of a button, broadcast to their fans live. There are many creative ways to use live video. Use it for events, inside looks, Q&As, etc. Experiment with Facebook Live and start interacting with your audience in real time.

09.01.2022 Healthcare Practice TipAll the best things that happened in practice happened on the heels of failure. Don’t be afraid to fail; it’s proof that you are meant to be a successful practice owner. The only difference between people who are hugely successful and those who aren’t is the time it takes them to get back up after getting knocked down.

06.01.2022 Healthcare Practice Tip. Take Full Advantage of all the Free Social Media. Before you go out and blow money on advertising, capitalise on the free and speedy online access that leads you direct to your patients. Blog, Tweet with humour and build your follower base on Facebook, all who are willing to try your service.

06.01.2022 Facebook Tip Tuesday. Putting a small button or link to your Facebook Page in your email signature can direct some traffic from the people you communicate with to your Facebook Page, which has the potential to help you gather a few Likes, while also showing your business to these people.

05.01.2022 Over-thinking and cognitive fatigue can diminish perspective, creativity and mood. Make a daily appointment of 15-20 minutes to press the pause button and give you the thinking space to reflect and think. Close the door, take a walk or sit in a green space, where you won’t get interrupted and have time to ‘just be.’

05.01.2022 Healthcare Practice Tip. Successful practice owners and other successful people take full responsibility for the thoughts they think, the images they visualise,... and the actions they take. They don’t waste their time and energy blaming and complaining. They evaluate their experiences and decide if they need to change them or not. They face the uncomfortable and take risks in order to create the practice of their dreams and life they want to live. See more

03.01.2022 Facebook Tip Tuesday. Whether it's content related to your industry or updates on what your business is doing, stay in touch with your audience with Facebook posts. Use short, fun-to-read copy and eye-catching images to get attention. You can even schedule your posts to save time.

03.01.2022 Healthcare Practice Tip. Stop Putting It Off! Procrastination is the enemy of success. When you feel stuck and can’t seem to move ahead, always remember that you don’t have to get it right, you just have to get it going!

03.01.2022 Among other things, having a positive attitude when running a business can help your healthcare practice thrive.

02.01.2022 Healthcare Practice Tip. When you look for ways to grow your practice, the real essentials are usually the same stuff that’s already proven successful. So before you move on to the next exciting project or a new strategy, do a lot more of what’s already working instead and then do the new stuff.

02.01.2022 Facebook Tip Tuesday. Create posts on the go. Download the Facebook Pages Manager app to your mobile device to create posts for your business from anywhere. It's a great way to share up-to-the-minute updates and photos with your audience. http://ow.ly/u98y309gGY8

02.01.2022 Facebook Tip Tuesday. Doubling down, recycling, or reposting past successful content is a strategy often underutilized by most marketers. Conventional thinking might lead you to create original content each and every time but that doesn’t always have to be the case. To save you needed time and energy, try reposting or recycling content that has performed well in the past.

02.01.2022 Facebook Tip Tuesday. Many businesses choose to ignore the Insights option in Facebook but they really shouldn’t. The very useful tool can be located in the tab above your cover photo. Once in there, you’re able to see a summary of your page i.e. page views, page likes and post engagements etc. That is not the only thing you can do however, with a business able to see how individual posts have performed such as how many people it reached, as well as the engagement surrounding that post. The main benefit of being able to check all those things for a business is that you can test if your content is being successful and engaging your target audience. If so, great, continue doing the same but if reach and engagement is low, you know it’s time to try something different.

02.01.2022 Lest we forget.
