19.01.2022 Holiday project complete. This pantry project has been great to take my mind off work and all the strange things going on at the moment. As well as a welcome distraction it has added a lot of storage to our kitchen. Really happy with it, got a couple of things left 1 add a small filler panel between the top cabinets 2 add shelves on the right where the cabinets finish.... Now to plan the next project. 10.01.2022 So today's little transformation is brought to you by a lot of upholstery staples! Seriously though, this was a lot of fun to do, took a little patience but I have been trying so hard not to be wasteful while we are doing this refurb. I have bought solid second hand wooden furniture wherever I could and remodelled it to suit our decor. I hate the thought of consuming cheap rubbish that goes to landfill. So the same rule applied to my sofa. I bought this second hand when I a...rrived in Australia 5 years ago and its been such a great shape and style. The red colour didn't suit any more so rather than get rid of this one and buy a new one I got some fabric and covers and learned how to recover it. I think it was a success! I haven't finished covering all the cushions yet but pretty happy with how its come out. Easier than you think...
