17.01.2022 Excuses. Excuses are the silent killer your dreams and goals. We all have them and we all are guilty of letting them get in the way of our health, work or family at times. No one is perfect. ... But we have to be conscious of the excuses we are making and how they are holding us back from our true potential. I have been a personal trainer for over 13 years and have run upwards of 50 challenges (some really bad ones at the start but that’s a funny story for another time). But now I'm well experienced in the mentality and the common errors I see in challengers I can predict within the first few weeks which clients will do well, who will sink in the later weeks and who will never even get out of the blocks. We all have dreams of achieving great things but why is it only very few people end up with the result they dream of? Because we all let our excuses dictate our actions and when it all comes down to it, we are all a DIRECT REFLECTION of our ACT,IONS EXCUSES won’t get you results, ACTIONS will. The people I see do well in challenges are the ones who CUT THE BULLSHIT and the excuses that come with it. If you want to achieve a certain result it has to be a priority to your life or it will just be an idea you had once had Lack of time is what I often hear when people tell me they can’t achieve their fitness and health goals, but the real reason is that their health was not a priority. Sad part about this excuse is that quite often their health ends up becoming a problem in their later years and it's too late to fix by the time they make it a priority. We all have the exact same amount of time but it's what we prioritise that reflects the outcome. But excuses don’t just crush fitness and health goals but also business, relationship and family goals. It all comes down to how bad you WANT IT. If you WANT IT bad enough you will make it a priority. If you don’t, you won’t get the results and it will always stay a dream. Your motivation has to be stronger than your excuses and your motivation comes from your internal WANT for something greater. It's up to YOU and no one else. Your actions will dictate your future not your excuses. Too many people need to get out of their own way and stop using excuses of why they cannot do this or that. You have to WANT IT, you have to ACTION IT and you can’t give up just because things get hard because everything that is great isn’t EASY.

15.01.2022 Reborn, it's not a gym. Reborn is not a gym, it's so much more than that. Over the past 2 weeks I have contacted 2 groups who met through the doors of Reborn Fitness Club. ... I asked them each 4 questions. - WHAT IS REBORN TO YOU? - WHAT DOES THE GROUP YOU TRAIN WITH MEAN TO YOU? - HOW HAS THE GYM MADE YOU FEEL CONNECTED? -WHAT OTHER AREAS IN YOUR LIFE HAS REBORN IMPROVED? First of all I was in admiration of everyone's open honesty to make themselves vulnerable by sharing their true feelings. I realised that these people had come together and become so tight that all walls had dropped down and they didn’t see each other as just gym mates but more like their family. They could be open with each other and share their darkest secrets as there was no judgement, ridicule or rejection. They found comfort, support and genuine help in times of need. They felt a part of something, not just a gym but connected to their mates they sweat, push and motivate next to each other everyday. I have always known that my team will go above and beyond for our members. We are always helping our members wherever we can not just with physical fitness but also lifestyle habits, mindset and also just being there for some to talk to. BUT I did not know that this was also common amongst all of our members. After reading all the posts from the boys and girls these guys had formed their own support network within a support network. In the last reply I got from one of the girls from the 515am girls (Jamaya Markey) she finished her post with I feel I'm a part of something GREATER than your average sweat box.. And that one comment got me thinking what Reborn really is Reborn is a support network. Reborn is people's comfort away from home. Reborn is our member's outlet. Reborn is a life saver. (Literally) Reborn is built off the back of surrounding yourself with the right people and it is so beautiful to see these friendships evolve where these relationships are now considered their nearest and dearest’ in their life. Reborn is more than a gym, its a community of people that only want the best for themselves and the others who walk through the door. I love the Reborn community. Love Trav.

08.01.2022 Training is an investment. Training isn’t just a physical tool to get you fit. Training is an investment in your health, your work, your family and everything that comes within your life. ... I believe that training should be a part of everyones pillars that hold up their life. I can only speak from my experience but once I started training for the mental benefits of training my whole world changed for the better. Physical results are fantastic to increase our confidence but the present of training doesn’t stop giving there that's actually only just the start. With that confidence comes the ability to try new things, push yourself further in all other aspects in your life where before you were to afraid to give it a go. Training has this unbelievable way of opening up new doors in life that you may have thought would have never been possible. I have seen it so many times, where a member will come in tot he gym shy, timid and seems to only be surviving through life. But in a matter of months their whole life changes because of the achievements they are making consistently in the gym. That shy and timid person now walks with a strut, shoulders back, chin up and the world at their feet. Now this person is not only climbing the ranks at work but their home life has never been better but why’s that? How could training affect your home life? Well when we train we feel good from achieving something that was hard and soon after the natural endorphins flood the body because of the feeling of satisfaction. Its hard to be angry when these 2 things happen so in return you become a fantastic person to be around. Life becomes more positive when you are achieving success through training consistently. People love to be around positive people, its inspiring and infectious. This is a skill that is also highly sought after in the business world because let's be honest everyone loves to work around the guy who has a phenomenal attitude when the team is in the trenches. Training isn’t just a physical tool for you to improve your physical body. 02.01.2022 3 tips to make 2021 your year. 2020 was challenging to say the least but 2021 has the promise of being better In saying that, I believe we are still going to be hit with some unexpected challenges.... But that’s life isn’t it Ups, downs and round and round. We can’t control what happens in the world but what we can control is our own actions and what we make of our lives.. New Years resolutions bring the feeling of a clean slate with endless opportunities. I'm going to give you my 3 best tips to make 2021 your year. Write S.M.A.R.T GOALS- 1-3 in each of the following areas: Family Personal Fitness/health Financial Note: if you have three goals, they should align with each other 2. BUILD HABITS around your goals. If you fail a goal it's not because the goal was wrong it's because your systems were not right. Note: Stack a new task to a current habit to create NEW HABIT (Read: Atomic Habits by James Clear) 3. Keep it Simple. Focus on 1 challenge at a time. Once you complete that task move on to the next. I always use the analogy of if you are trying to catch two rabbits at once you won’t catch either. But if you go after 1 rabbit and focus on just getting the 1 you will have a better chance of getting your goal. Once you catch the first rabbit, focus your energy on the next rabbit.
