04.01.2022 This was me! As a young school girl, I constantly tied my worth to being first in the class and receiving top grades. Upon much reflection, I realised it came from a need to be liked, accepted and approved by others and I subconsciously believed that would happen if I was the smartest, most successful person in the class, at uni and in the workplace. This attitude is so damaging to your wellbeing and your success, which this article touches on. I did quite a bit of work to get over this and am now so much better off for it! :-)
