This morning we received a call from Greencross Vets at Beenleigh advising that their surgery was broken into last night and the freezer holding our beautiful girl's body was stolen... WE WANT HER BACK!!! Please help us locate these heartless thieves so we can bring her home and lay her to rest with us where she belongs!!! The vet has told us that she wa...s in the freezer in a body bag awaiting cremation this morning. It is quite possible these disgusting humans have dumped her on the side of a road where or in a dumpster/bin.... PLEASE CHECK FOR US... We need to have her home with us where she belongs. See more

10.01.2022 A BIG THANK YOU... for all your kind well wishes and thoughts in our plight to find Abby. Unfortunately, we have not been successful in our searches but will continue to hold out hope that one day she may be returned to us. In the meantime, we just want to extend our deepest thanks to all who have been involved with keeping a look out for us and walking the streets to help us find her. We have learned very quickly that there are some very kind and thoughtful people in this world and it appears that Abby has brought our community together in ways we could have never imagined. It is proof to us yet again that Abby was and still is in many ways a very special part of our family who even in death, fills the hearts of all she comes across. May Abby rest in peace, wherever she may be.

05.01.2022 UPDATE ON OUR ABBY AND OUR APPEAL TO THE PUBLIC... Abby is still missing and so far we have no concrete leads. All we can tell you is that Greencross at Beenleigh are amazing and have been a tremendous help. They have been our vet for 10 years and over this time have become our friend. They loved Abby as much as we did. Abby is microchipped and all authorities that we can think of have been notified. The local councils have notified all bin collection companies, ads have bee...n placed in all surrounding areas for missing animals, Channel 7 news, Channel 9 news and Channel 10 news have been very helpful and have run stories. The Courier Mail has run an article in today's paper appealing for support and expressing our heartbreak. OUR APPEAL to the person responsible for this act.... We live in the Mount Warren Park area and we travel along Mount Warren Boulevard EVERY DAY... Please, we beg you, leave her on the side of the road visible to the street so we can find her. If you have removed her from her body bag, just leave her body, if you have changed her bag, please just leave her in that. We are not interested in taking further action against you, we just want our beloved Abby back. She does not deserve to go out like this. Once we have her body back this will all be over for all involved. We can move on with our lives and put our girl to rest the way she deserves. PLEASE HELP US find Abby. Check your bins, Check your dumpsters, Check your roadways... speak with your neighbours. Report any suspicious activity to your local authorities or call Greencross Vets at Beenleigh. Thank you for all the support so far. Abby was a much loved part of our family for 16 years and she has now opened the hearts of many during this horrendous situation. As another day dawns with hopes fading of ever finding our beloved Abby it is with a heavy heart that we again advise that there are no viable leads in our plight to bring her home to lay her to rest. This morning we have received word from The Courier Mail that our reward ad has been run in todays paper and that they have contacted our local police who have informed that unfortunately there is no new information at this stage. Weve also received word that ...Abby due to the global issue with FB and Instagram that maybe our pleas are not getting through. This is not helpful at all of course. In saying this, we have all done our part throughout the night and again this morning driving the streets looking for her. Weve this morning driven Mount Warren Boulevard in hopes that the thieves saw our plea to leave her by the side of the road but it was all to no avail. PLEASE BRING ABBY HOME. This is not fair. This is not fathomable. This is not something that should happen to an already grieving family. Abby deserves better! Thank you again for all the shares, all the comforting messages, phone calls and possible leads.. We are trying very hard not to lose hope. The reward still stands. We want Abby Back. See more
