25.01.2022 Here is a short video for new Recomposer users to understand how to conduct their very first workouts.

23.01.2022 FREE training companion apps for Recomposer 2 are now available for both iOS and Android Recomposer 2 clients. The first release is the same interface and functionality as the browser but much more to come. Free version is ad supported but you can pay to remove ads.

21.01.2022 New Recomposer App launched (for existing users). Visit recomposer.com.au on your mobile browser and you will see the message here to ‘add page to homescreen’. This is not just a browser bookmark. It will launch Recomposer exactly like an app, completely separate from your browser. Better still, all new features automatically appear, like the new process for new users doing your first ever sets.

17.01.2022 This video gives users a very basic overview of how to use the Recomposer Mobile interface in the gym. (NOTE: full resolution version available on YouTube: https://youtu.be/DuRPJRJaQDk)

15.01.2022 Recomposer measures every set of every exercise using a ‘calculated max’. The ‘calculated max’ is a simple way to ‘score’ each set, so you can objectively compare light sets for high reps, with moderate-weight sets for moderate reps, and heavy sets for low reps. For example, Recomposer scores a bench press of 100kg for 10 reps as a 128kg max. If today you were to lift 110kg, Recomposer shows you that 6 reps would give you a 129kg max; 1kg better. Or, if you were to lift 90kg..., Recomposer would show that you need 16 reps for the same 129kg max. Being able to compare different weight and rep combinations allows users to set meaningful goals for every set, improves focus to make ongoing progress, allows for more varied program structures, and gives constant, real-time feedback about how well a program is working, or not. The calculated max weight is purely theoretical. In reality, very few exercises have a true, practical 1-repetition-maximum; and those exercises require specific skill to perform a max. For most exercises, there is no such thing as a 1-rep-max; either you can lift a weight for several good reps, or you cannot do any. The purpose of the calculated max is not, therefore, to predict the heaviest weight you could lift. It is to compare sets of different weights and reps, for unparalleled training insight and focus.

14.01.2022 Insurance for Personal Trainers with Fitness Australia no longer covers Bodybuilding and Powerlifting style, hard weight training! Register with Recomp for the necessary coverage and never do another CEC course as a bonus! http://recomp.com.au/recomp-personal-trainer-registration/

14.01.2022 iPhone users, the iOS app has been updated! Please update to regain full funtionality of the app.

13.01.2022 Recomposer is specialist software for Recomp specialists. PT's who are not registered and insured through Recomp are not covered to provide a professional body recomposition service or bodybuilding competition preparation. So only Recomp PT's can use Recomposer. However, Recomp is for ALL PT's who offer a body recomposition service; not just those PT's who want to use Recomposer.

13.01.2022 Training programs in Recomposer recommend weights to lift based on your best previous performance of the exercise (ie your ‘personal best’ or ‘PB’). If you have not yet recorded any sets of an exercise, Recomposer cannot suggest correct weights. So it asks you select a moderately hard weight and do as as many reps as possible (after warming up, of course) to establish a starting PB. Once you save that first set, Recomposer instantly updates your entire program with weight recommendations for each set, based on your Coaches program.

11.01.2022 Congratulations to Mike Lee of Mikes Team in Sydney for winning every category in the 2016 ANB Oceania Bodybuilding Titles; with all clients measured, tracked and their diets and training prescribed using Recomposer. The contest winning techniques and strategies are all Mike's and have nothing to do with Recomposer. But Recomposer is indispensible for Mike to objectively track, measure assess and fine tune his clients diet and training to contest winning condition. https://www.facebook.com/MikesTeamBodybuilding/

01.01.2022 To all Recomposer users, there is currently a DNS error with the brs.com.au domain which is being worked on. Recomposer is fine and still available at http://recomposer.com.au as always. Everything is there and can be accessed via your PC, Mac, iPhone or Android browser. Unfortunately the iOS app references the brs.com.au domain so it is unable to access the site. We regret this temporary inconvenience. Recomposer runs on a premium, private, banking server farm with multiple redundancies so it is as fast and reliable as can possibly be. But DNS is out of our control, unfortunately. For the next few hours, please use http://recomposer.com.au
