Our client a leading transport infrastructure provider requires a Principal ITS Engineer to join their team in leading the scope and technical drafting of the procurement stage of their project. To be successful in the role you will require extensive ITS experience and be a degree qualified Electrical Engineer with a minimum of 10 years' experience working in the transport sector on road infrastructure projects. Ideally you would have achieved Principal Engineer status. The role will involve close stakeholder management internally and externally. You will be able to demonstrate your up to date working knowledge of ITS systems and road infrastructure. You will prepare briefs, documentation detailed design plans and specified ITS and Electrical scope of works and technical criteria for contractual requirements. Once this is complete you will then spend some time in the early delivery phase to ensure the contractor/vendor is able to work through the documentation successfully. The team is highly technical and analytical with superior attention to detail. It would suit a highly articulate senior level engineer who enjoys taking a leadership role within a large organisation but a small team of professionals. The assignment is due to start within the next 2 weeks and will commence of a minimum of 6 months. The role is Brisbane based as is the project however interstate candidates may be considered but they will be required to travel to Brisbane weekly. In this role you will be responsible for the successful design, development and programming of PLCs, RTUs and SCADA, documentation, SAT and FAT procedures, system integration and final commissioning. The role is primarily office based however site visits to establish the specifications and requirements as well as commissioning phase for the client will be required. It is imperative candidates have clear communication skills, and enjoy working in a positive outcome orientated manner. The projects will involve greenfield and brownfield sites so the ability to work in both would be advantageous. You will also be able to work autonomously, be a considered but strong decision maker. Experience in either water treatment, resources, or food and beverage manufacturing will be highly considered. To be considered for the role candidates will need to have experience in at least one, if not a few SCADA systems including; Clear SCADA ,Citect ,Rockwell RS View 32, Rockwell Factory Talk Studio, Siemens Win CC TIA Portal ,Vijeo or System Platform / Wonderware. Due to planned but dynamic growth our client is currently seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join their Brisbane team. Working closely with the Production Manager, and reporting to the interstate Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for providing design, technical and engineering support to the manufacturing team. This is a fast changing environment therefore the successful Manufacturing Engineer needs to be self- motivated, clear communicator and able to work autonomously. The primary aspect of the role is being able to review current manufacturing and provide new methods including layout reviews. This is a 9 month contract to start immediately. They need someone who can be effective immediately therefore only local candidates will be considered. In addition to this you will also be responsible for: Recommendations on equipment and layout improvements and material handling processes. Review root cause analysis Liaising with production and maintenance personnel to ensure optimal operating conditions. Supervising technicians and contractors; assigning work and reviewing for accuracy and adherence to required standards including EHS. Design and implement incoming components inspection specifications and monitoring requirements. Utilise LEAN systems and methods to implement changes targeted to yield improvement, inventory reduction and productivity increases. To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate the following: Bachelor of Engineering Minimum 5 years' experience within a manufacturing environment Strong communication skills, with the ability to plan and organise Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes including EHS requirements Knowledge of Australian Standards, Codes of Practice, WHS regulations. 04.01.2022 New Job Electrical Drafter - BBBH220 Job Classification: Engineering Job Type: Contract Location: Southbank, Melbourne, Australia... Our client a large utilities company is currently upgrading a number of their pump facilities. To ensure this work is completed to timelines and standards they require an electrical and instrumentation drafter to come and assist their team for a minimum of 3 months. There will be a number of PLC termination diagrams and loop diagrams to produce plus allocate cable numbers and wire numbers as per their standards on Autocad 2D. You will work closely with the engineers and coordinators to ensure the design and the installation and delivery is correct, as well as ensuring they have the right materials ordered and basic equipment arrangements are correct. As you will be part of a busy team it is necessary that you have clear communication skills, able to prioritise your work load effectively and work in a self-motivated and positive manner. The client also has a number of as built drawings to work through when you are not delivering approved drawings for installation. During this contract you will be based at the client's site about 10km out of Melbourne business district. If you are able to provide your own laptop and 2D Autocad licence that would be beneficial but not vital. Our clients a leading gas company has an opportunity for a highly experienced Project Manager to join their compression team. The position is Adelaide based and should be for 3- 6 months minimum which is when the project is expected to reach completion. With a minimum of 10 years project management experience of industrial, gas or oil projects in the delivery phase. You will be delivering a number of gas compression projects valuing between $200k to $10 million both permanent and mobile. As the projects require a number of skills and experience such as civil, piping and electrical you will need to come from a multidisciplinary background however a bias towards electrical would be highly regarded. As part of a small team you will play a vital role in the delivery phase of these projects therefore your ability to work with budgets, detailed design as well as review and manage schedules is paramount. Experience using P6 would be desirable. You will also need a positive and confident communication style. As you will be working with internal and external stakeholders, you will need to be self-motivated and tenacious to ensure you can source the information required to complete your role within the time lines set and their processes.
