17.01.2022 In the past, most sales training teaches us to rebut objections, counter them with logic, see them as buying signals and always try and get something to keep moving the sales process forward. One of the many things I have observed over the last 12 months is that this hardball approach hasn't worked and has done more damage than good. You see when we were in times of uncertainty (and let’s face it there is nothing more uncertain than a global pandemic) objections have merit,... it's not just simply a case that clients are just trying to get rid of you! There are many genuine concerns about budget, returning employees safely to their offices, challenges of working remotely, businesses impacted by other factors outside of their control etc etc. If we go in with the same type of 'salesy' approach, we could damage the relationship before it has had an opportunity to develop. BUT! At the same time, we need to ensure we are maximising the opportunities of exploring the potential of future work and not be a victim to the endless "no thank you". In this webinar, I will share some advanced "Consulting' concepts that will support the conversation and questioning process around the objections you may be faced with daily - whilst protecting the relationship in the process. 16.01.2022 Is all stress bad? Stress isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It’s what helped our hunter-gatherer ancestors survive, and it’s just as important in today’s world. It can be healthy when it helps you avoid an accident, meet a tight deadline, or keep your wits about you amid chaos. We all feel stressed at times, but what one person finds stressful may be very different from what another finds stressful. ... Stress isn’t always a bad thing, either. But stress should be temporary. Once you’ve passed the fight-or-flight moment, your heart rate and breathing should slow down and your muscles should relax. In a short time, your body should return to its natural state without any lasting negative effects. On the other hand, severe, frequent, or prolonged stress can be mentally and physically harmful. Want to learn more about good stress, bad stress and how to manage it? Come join me tomorrow on our FREE webinar. https://us02web.zoom.us//6515882/WN_K0VOsKLTSi-OZtcWwiO5hA
14.01.2022 Long before the current circumstances that we find ourselves in as an industry, we referred to the wonderful world of recruitment as a bit of a roller coaster. (Some people say champagne and razor blades but that picture didn't look so good). Covid-19 or not, resilience has always been a key attribute that all recruiters need to be successful. In our next FREE 'Remote Recruiter' webinar, I'll be sharing tools and techniques to build resilience and manage stress.... We will complete a resilience assessment, create a personalised building resilience plan, know how to spot the signs if you’re suffering from stress related concerns, understand the difference between good stress and bad stress, complete a life balance wheel and more. Here is the link https://us02web.zoom.us//6515882/WN_K0VOsKLTSi-OZtcWwiO5hA , Hope to see you there : ) Friday 15th May 12.30pm #recruiterdeveloper #recruitmenttraining #personaldevelopment #resiliency

02.01.2022 It's common to make assumptions in sales activities - both with candidates and clients. These really are just hallucinations because none of us will EVER know what the outcome of a conversation will be. But yet we can spend precious time practising a conversation or expecting the worst outcome. Yes, some people do not want to talk to you right now, they will object to the conversation and that may leave you feeling rejected. This 'rejected' feeling is a human response, but it...'s based on your perception of what the objection is and the assumption that YOU are being rejected. Sometimes it just takes a few simple questions to 'really' understand the root cause of an objection, leave the door open for future discussions and keep your confidence in tack. I am running a free webinar tomorrow morning on how to manage objections effectively. Link to register is here https://us02web.zoom.us//1516130/WN_6k7icg5qRIuJeuNkvF5bLA
