25.01.2022 Job seeker? Especially in sales? Heads up... Last year Chris Vaughan (in the video) applied for a role we were managing. We're not fans of resumes or cover letters but we do really like 'Cover Videos'. And Chris absolutely nailed his! Here's a suggestion then... when you submit your CV and cover letter... add a Cover Video as well. It really allows the people on the other side to get a stronger sense of YOU. And, assuming you are, it'll show them that you're a confident and c...ompetent communicator on camera. Let's face it, there's much more selling happening via video-conference now, right? The Justified Talent 5-stage, 20-step 'Evidence-based Recruitment Methodology' covers identifying, attracting, selecting, recruiting and then optimising new sales hires into our small business clients' world. Up until now, the 'Optimise' phase has essentially been about us providing very deep and powerful behavioural analytics to our client, about their new hire - which means they know how the newbie is going to conduct themselves with a level of depth that woul...d take 12-months to observe - and then advice on how to best support the new person by way of behavioural coaching... However, commencing very soon, our clients will also have the option of us providing performance and accountability support to and with their new hire, for their first 6-months in the job. For those that don't have one yet, we will provide a sales dashboard, thanks to the brilliance of Cullen Brugman and his team at Dashboard Magic and conduct regular one-on-one review meetings with the Sales Pro and the business owner, to help ensure things are on track and to guide wherever they're not. Over the 6 months of support we will also be developing the capability of the business owner to become a black-belt sales manager. A lot of our clients are not comfortable in the sales role. They just want to be able to do what the business invoices - or, get back to the blue ocean stuff. But many years of experience tells me that "what gets measured, gets managed" and "ya gotta inspect what you expect." 05.01.2022 Super-excited! In just a couple of weeks' time, once their new sales hire has settled in and been inducted, we'll be onboarding 4 of our latest clients and their 'newbie' to our brand new "QDQ Dashboard" service. Each day the sales person will enter key data about their sales activity in the platform. Then, the client, sales person and our CEO, James Michael, will review this via the dashboard (screenshot you can see here), to help ensure the salesperson is on track to achiev...e their sales objectives. We'll be doing that once a week for the first 4 weeks. Then once a fortnight for the following two months. Then once a month for the next 3 months. Over the total of 6 months we'll ensure there's a cadence, an operating rhythm and activity disciplines being embedded. At the 7-month mark we'll hand over to the business owner to maintain the discipline. The "QDQ Meetings" will serve to quickly identify where the salesperson might need 'course correction' and/or support from the business owner (or, additional training and/or coaching). It will also serve the purpose of James coaching and counselling the business owner on becoming a 'black belt' sales manager.
