13.01.2022 Dear Parents and Carers, Recently, there have been numerous NSW Health infectious diseases alerts regarding measles across NSW. Measles is a serious, highly contagious, viral illness that is easily spread through the air when an infectious person coughs, sneezes or breathes. The virus can stay in the air for short periods of time (around 15 minutes), so simply being in the same room as someone with measles can result in infection even after the infected person has left.... NSW Health has advised that families with babies under 12 months who may be travelling this Easter and during the school holidays, should speak to their GP to make sure they are protected from measles.
