25.01.2022 One of our projects from earlier in the year - a round office table created from a mixture of recycled hardwoods atop a salvaged metal cable drum. So here we are again at the end of another year. It has been busy & as always very creative and like every other year, we have met a great bunch of people for whom we have had the pleasure of creating some beautiful, functional pieces. Our longevity would not be possible without your support, so we would like to take this opportunity to thank you very much and wish you all the absolute best for the festive season. Recycled hardwood pedestal base supporting one of our salvaged Heidelberg Repatriation Chapel Doors. Panels filled with recycled Jarrah and coated with an outdoor finish. 10.01.2022 A lot has happened in our world in the last few months and as much as we would love to have you just drop by our workshop, we have had to make some necessary changes to the way we conduct business to keep us all safe. So in line with government measures to help stop the spread of coronavirus, access to our workshop will only be available by appointment and limited to individuals and couples - not groups. In the meantime, we will continue to take your enquiries via phone and e...mail - best form of contact under these circumstances - whilst completing existing projects. 01.01.2022 It is with a heavy heart that I write this post today...my best friend and partner in life and creativity passed away peacefully last Monday and was laid to rest yesterday... Con, the master craftsman & inspiration behind Recycled Lane, was responsible for the creation of the countless number of beautiful pieces of furniture many of you have the privilege of owning, whether it be in your homes, offices or eateries. Con was a man who absolutely loved his craft and the only per...son I can honestly say who loved going to work every single day - even when on holidays he was itching to get back after just a couple of weeks of leisure. I will be forever grateful I had the opportunity to work alongside Con for 10 years, building up Recycled Lane together and in the process get to meet so many wonderful people, many of whom we have built lasting friendships with. Our 5 years in Northcote, at the shop in High Street, was one of the highlights for him as he got to speak about his craft with so many of you - the other was being able to actualise your ideas & visions. Nothing pleased him more than seeing your satisfied looks upon viewing your finished projects. We will do our best to continue his legacy and once these restrictions are lifted, welcome you back to our workshop for a look around, a chat and a "cuppa" in honour of a true gentleman.
