25.01.2022 I’ll be bringing a range of my POL pullets to the Seymour Expo this Friday-Sunday. Come and say hello!
24.01.2022 Some quick photos of some of my birds at the Royal Melbourne Show (September 2019). Unfortunately I took these photos as I was unpenning them (5 days of being at the show), so they don’t look fantastic, but you get the idea! The blue hen in the 1st photo was the bird which won Champion Standard Araucana overall.
23.01.2022 Today is the Winter Solstice! It is the shortest day of the year, which means as the daylight starts getting longer our girls will start laying soon. If you haven’t already, treat your poultry for internal and external parasites so they are in perfect condition to help them lay beautiful eggs for your family or to start the breeding season in prime condition.
16.01.2022 Just about to update my page with some pictures, when I came across this video. When your washing your hens for a show, and they do this....
14.01.2022 From my family to yours...wishing you a happy and safe Easter.
12.01.2022 Sorry about my lack of activity on this page, I’m still here, just extremely busy with home schooling! I am still taking orders to go onto my waiting list for pullets. I will endeavor to contact everyone in the next couple weeks to confirm interest. I do have some chicks available, however they’ll need heat for a few more weeks than normal in this cold weather.
10.01.2022 My blue Araucana cock winning Bird of Show at the Seymour Agricultural Show.
08.01.2022 The pullets have started laying in the last couple weeks
08.01.2022 Unfortunately, I have sold out of pullets at this time. I do have chicks hatching on Sunday, once they are off heat (8-10 weeks in cold weather), and I’m able to sex them I will post on this page. If you would like to go onto a waiting list for either pet quality or show/breeding stock, please PM me. Thank you for your understanding, Elizabeth Vidos.
02.01.2022 Point Of Lay Olive Eggers & Araucana (Pet Quality) .....please see comments
01.01.2022 A very happy girl holding eggs from newly purchased pullets.
01.01.2022 I’ve started breeding earlier this year taking advantage of the fact that there are no shows this year. A small batch is due to hatch on Sunday, so they go into lockdown today. I just thought I’d share a fantastic way of separating your breeding pens in the hatcher. Gutter guard makes great dividers, much easier and cleaner than the laundry bags I was using previously.
