17.01.2022 Every year Red Book Photography support the Childrens Cancer Foundation by photographing the Cytotoxic Cyclists Team ride in the Murray to Moyne bike ride from Echuca to Port Fairy. We are very proud to be a part of this mammoth effort, which sees riders cycle in a relay from Saturday morning until Sunday lunch! A massive 500+ km!!!!! We think holding a camera is the easy job!!!! If you can find your way to support my husband (who rides to say thank you for saving our Son), please follow the link. 09.01.2022 I have some lovely supporters urging me to share my results at APPA this weekend! To say it has been a tough journey creatively this year is an understatement! ...Just like footy, creativity is played between the ears. I have had to really force myself out of a bit of a hole! I tell everyone else not to undersell themselves so much, and needed to listen to my own advice! A week before the deadline I realised I would be very sad with myself if I didnt enter, so out came my trusty #Olympus camera, and I got my act together. These images could have benefited from more of my time, but I am pleased (or maybe even a bit proud) for dragging myself over the line. Then to have all 4 images awarded, has refuelled my fire! This part of my life is just as important as work, caring for my family, keeping a house, volunteering, because this is what makes me me!! Im writing this, because I know there are other friends who also arent kind to themselves; lets change that today! 1: Yes you can! 2: Make time for your creative you! 3: Be kind to yourself 4: Drink champagne!!!!! Not like me to be so open; but trying to hold myself accountable without being hard on myself at the same time!!
