Met with Trent of Madhaus Studios @_madhaus He is using a prefabricated panel to build a home for his grandparents in a new development on the outskirts of Goulburn ... These prefabricated panels are designed via Trents modelling and are then produced by Symatic in Poland. The wall frame consists of timber, window or door, mineral fibre insulation, OSB board, airtight membrane and weather membrane with plasterboard already installed Each panel has little straps built in so the crane can lift the wall, floor or ceiling frame Large screws are used to fit off perpendicular walls This two story house will be constructed in 4-5 days!!! We start our next Passive House in September in Kellyville using the same system. 22.01.2022 Our current Passive House build is being monitored via various temperatures sensors inside and outside the house These sensors are providing us with positive data even we are surprised at! As per the graph, a few nights ago it was 4 degrees outside but inside of the house it was 15degrees... Wraptite is a vapour permeable membrane thats self adhesive. But more importantly is one of the 5 pillars of a Passive House building. 16.01.2022 Time Lapse of our concrete pour. The concrete is burnished by basically going over and over and over the surface to harden the top. Once ready we simply polish the top only removing a 1mm or so of the topping. Leaving a creamy finish and no aggregate. Hydronic heating will keep the home warm in the cold months. Yes thats Trent with his crutches trying to get involved. And due to winter days with little warmth the 8pm finish meant pizza for dinner. ...
