14.01.2022 Acacia spectabilis - also known as the Mudgee Wattle. The Castlereagh Hwy connection between Capertee & Mudgee is brilliantly lined with these vivid yellow natives, with fern like foliage. On the weekend, we drove out and over the green hills by the Windamere Dam (a must-see) into the bustling town of Mudgee. And bustling it was! ... There is always something happening in Mudgee, whether it be wine tasting, festivals or a food show. After all, it is the food capital of Australia (as of two months ago - Congrats!) My heart holds a very special place in the Mudgee and Capertee Region. 05.01.2022 Take a 25minute scenic drive to the ‘Naturally Friendly’ and quaint town that is Rylstone. The Globe Hotel also has a bistro, bar and outdoor seating. Markets are held here on the second Saturday of every month.. if you haven’t tried cream of honey hunt down the tent with the locally grown goodies and taste this creamy goodness! ... Across the road is Saffron Kitchen and Cafe on Louee as you drive into town. Both I can only say good things about! Yum Cha anyone? People rave about this place!
