24.01.2022 Surprise video! Hi everyone! It’s been a little while, but we’ve got a few cool things coming up, and thought we’d kick off the excitement with a re-release of one of our favourite videos from the last few years... This was such a fun video to produce! The cameraman and I had 4 hours to set up the empty space, get the lighting right and complete the shoot from all the different angles. We've been working on something special over the last few weeks, and we’re chuffed to finally release our new free instructional video ‘The Combination Every Tap Dancer Should Know: The Traditional Time Step’.... The ‘Time Step’ is one of the most common and universal steps in tap dance. It has a rich history, dating back to the late 1800s and early 1900s. Today, they pop up everywhere: classes, auditions, shows and films. There are many different types and variations of the Time Step that have appeared throughout the years, and many of these variations are practiced today. The ’Traditional Time Step’ that we cover in this video is effectively the ‘Base Pattern’. Once you understand this pattern, learning alternate Time Step variations becomes much easier. It’s rather a special time here at RHR :) After 4 months developing the brand new Just TAP video course, ‘How to Tap Dance for ADVANCED BEGINNERS’, I am thrilled to finally release it into the world.... I’m not going to say a whole lot, but wanted to take a moment to thank all the wonderful people who’ve supported the development of the new course. I’m thrilled to say, without ego, that I’m proud of what Just TAP has become; I honestly wish that I’d had these courses when I first started tap dance. I have always longed to help people all over the world discover the magic of this astounding art form.
