25.01.2022 Banana Muffins The Penguins and Dolphins have been exploring food and cooking this week, so today we made Banana Muffins Cooking experiences have so many benefits and children are learning so many different skills such as following recipes, listening to instructions, turn taking, counting and measuring. They are exploring science through learning about mixtures and observing changes in the cooking process. But most importantly they are developing life skills and having fun!

13.01.2022 Today was all about finger painting!!!! For the Penguins, they were exploring colour and discovering what happens when you mix two colours together! And for the Dolphins, they were exploring shapes and drawing their own into the paint and then making a print! This sensory experience was not only fun and messy, but it was also a great way to extend our language and interests in colours and shapes.

13.01.2022 Today we celebrated LOVE! We talked about how we loved our families and how it makes us feel to be loved! We read stories all about the feeling of love and did some beautiful love heart craft to take home to our families! We also all looked awesome all dressed in our Pink and Hearts to celebrate this day of Love!

We are filling our centre with bright colours and we would love our families at home to join in too! If you are at home and would like to paint or draw a rainbow, perhaps you want to dress up in rainbow colours or do a rainbow dance, take a picture and email it over to us and we will add it to our Rainbow Window! Using collage to make the cutest germs around and group discussions, we learnt all about good germs and bad germs and what we can do to help stop the spread of germs! Here are a few thoughts from some of the children! ... Mr L told us We stop the germs when we wash our hands and Doctors can stop them too. Mr B said We stop the germs by staying at home and sending letters to people we love. And Ms A said We stop the germs by washing our hands and we have to use soap! See more
