04.01.2022 The M1 Pacific Motorway is closed between Berowra and Mount Colah due to a fatal truck crash and fire at Mount Kuring-gai. Southbound motorists are being dive...rted off the M1 at the Berowra Interchange to continue their journey via the Pacific Highway. There is no southbound access to the M1 at Berowra via Windybanks Interchange. Northbound motorists are being diverted off the M1 onto Ku-Ring-Gai Chase Rd at Mount Colah and can rejoin the M1 at the Berowra Interchange. Due to the serious nature of the crash, there is no forecast for when the motorway will reopen with investigations and recovery operations expected to continue throughout the morning peak. If you need to travel between the Central Coast and Sydney you should either delay your trip or consider catching a train instead. If you do have to drive, allow plenty of extra travel time due to increased volumes on the Pacific Highway.
