25.01.2022 While we're thrilled to welcome enthusiastic new staff, we're also incredibly grateful to our loyal and tireless veteran team members like Lynne. I think she's been with us since 2006, but my memory of the early days at RedBeard are a bit hazy. Here's a 'toast' to you Lynnie (bakers' pun).... 18.01.2022 These pictures were taken in Trentham today in the aftermath of the storm sweeping central Victoria. Our sympathy goes out to all the people who have been affected by this severe weather. Trees and power lines down, flooding in the Trentham lake, this weather is wild and scary. Hoping everyone is staying safe and looking after each other. Unfortunately, the bakery will close this Friday (10/6/20), to allow us to clean up. 12.01.2022 Well, what a year! Couple of things to say as we head into our last weekend of trading for 2020. Firstly, a big Thankyou to our political leaders in Australia for going hard and going early, and for keeping us small businesses afloat. Sadly, other governments around the globe have been far less proactive and caring. And, to our fab medical community for going above and beyond in so many ways and keeping us safe - thankyou. All the work for a safe vaccine is nearly realized... and things will hopefully look a lot different around the world in the second half of 2021! And, of course, to our loyal customers- thankyou so much for putting up with all our attempts to safely bring you our bakery goodies, without your support we’d have surely gone under! To our beautiful suppliers, farmers and growers - it’s been an honour and a privilege, as always, to continue to work closely with you in doing the vital work of feeding our community. We are open: Friday to Monday 9-3 as usual this weekend, takeaway only, but then we are closed for an overdue and greatly deserved staff Xmas break until we reopen on Friday 1st January. Our bustling cafe is open 9am to 3pm Friday to Monday and offers high quality whole foods made from locally-sourced, seasonal, organic ingredients.... We seek a seasoned professional to manage our front-of-house operations Friday to Monday every week. Key selection criteria: Minimum 5 years in hospitality management, including recruiting, training, rostering, managing and fostering good staff performance. Excellent customer service and team leadership skills in a fast-paced environment.
