Red Cat Adventures would love to take the opportunity to thank the Queensland Government, Premier Anastasia Palaszczuk and Tourism Minister Kate Jones for the approval of the Growing Tourism Infrastructure grant. This will enable us to work closely with Mackay Tourism, create new jobs, increase visitor numbers and bring an exciting new product to the Mackay region. "Pure Escape" will offe...r tourists and locals an all-inclusive, eco-friendly day tour on our custom-built vessel that takes 40 guests around the lower Cumberland Islands off the coast of Mackay. 15.01.2022 Red Cat Adventures was lucky enough to take part in and supply two vessels for the world-first coral IVF program!! This is such an exciting project that will lead to our reefs thriving thanks to the helping hands of local tourism operators and scientific bodies. Over the course of a week, the teams collected coral spawn that was released into the ocean for fertilisation. This spawn was captured in floating nursery pools then transported to the damaged reef off Hook Island... then released in hopes of new life thriving! We want to say a massive thanks to all the crew who were involved in this incredible project which will give our ecosystem a much-needed hand! Everyone involved should be extremely proud!
