25.01.2022 Sunrise on an unusual golf fitting day. CALLAWAY Rep Brett Thur made it to Alice but all his fitting gear went to Darwin We still managed to do iron fits with trackman and the latest CALLAWAY Big Bertha iron heads & shafts. Brett will be back in early March next year with ALL his gear for the members to try the latest from CALLAWAY

Andrew Dunne returned to form with a fine 19 points to win the final ball from Bill Robertson on 18. No chocolates Matt, Adrian & Adam - sorry you boys just need to score more points next week

25.01.2022 RCT Champions League is back. After a year off due to COVID last year we have a new format with teams of 5, 3 best scores to count and maximum 2 rounds per player! Early teams to register include Mighty Helpful Mitre 10, Mitre 10 Hardware Men, CACTI 1 & 2. The teams comp starts Monday 14th June and goes for 6 weeks.

25.01.2022 Sunset on another great WAGS golf day. 80 players enjoyed a lovely 40 degree day in the Alice! Greg Neck won with 31 points from Roger Selleck & Leonard Komene. Barb Hopewell won NAGA with 10 points and Jake & Lindsay the lucky draw



25.01.2022 A magnificent day for Police Golf with a magic sunset. Alex Brennan won with nett 34 off +1. An ace on the 3rd with a nine iron certainly helped. Andrew Dunne was 1/2 a shot away with 34 1/2 from Trudy Robertson on 37 1/2. Well done Alex

23.01.2022 The course is open and carts allowed after 30 mls of rain. All carts must avoid unsealed paths & drive where possible on the grassed edge of fairways. Walk to your ball with your club & sand bucket. The 10th & 11th greens are out of action with all back 9 players receiving points for those holes not played.

22.01.2022 A sensational day in Alice Springs - cool, less flies than normal and the Golf Club a hive of activity. The first night of social bowls has a full rink as well as plenty of golfers practising on the night range. If you aren’t at the Golf Club on a Tuesday evening you probably need to be here!

21.01.2022 Regional Final at Mount Compass - a 7 under 65 for nett 56.7 and 9th place. A huge improvement on our last effort here 2 years ago. A big thank you to scorer Don for putting up with us. There were several shouts for drives not getting past the Red Markers but no names Steve Jentsch (3rd) & BJ ( extremely short on the 12th ). Also, due to 3 drives per player pressure Mick had to hit off on his own on the 18th - talk about nervous team mates

Early leaders are Jarrod Wapper/Jai Pumphrey on 66.25 from Doug McClure/Shaun Brown on 67. Russ Schneiter/JD Kohl .25 of a shot behind in 3rd place.

Several firsts at the golf club today - the Club Professional giving a lesson in the rain Lochie from West Wyalong NSW braved the rain to work on his chipping & full swing. More unbelievable or true team players (depending on your perspective) is Home Hardware RCT players Mick Betteridge, Steve Jentsch and Sean Geiger WALKING 9 holes! Hopefully they make it back

19.01.2022 Joe Bodnar finally produced the form to win WAGS with 29 points from Mark Wilton on 28. Todd Howell & Brian Pepper won NTP’s whilst Leanne Hampel won NAGA on 10 Mandy van den Berg & Mike Hance won the lucky draw.

19.01.2022 Top gun update : Leanne/Trudy/Craig all out on the 7th - 9th. Dane Groza lost 2 left on the 10th to be eliminated and win the first voucher David Falkenberg was eliminated in a putt off on 11. That leaves 8 players to tee off the 12th with voucher prizes increasing each hole

19.01.2022 First round of Winter WAGS and it is stinking hot and windy David Falkenberg fired 39 off the stick for 23 points to win by two from Rich Brigham. Richard Worrall won NAGA whilst Marian & Sathit won the Lucky Draw.

18.01.2022 The Alice Springs teams finished 6th & 9th in the Regional final of the Volkswagen Scramble at Westlakes Adelaide. Tony Brown, Merv Sweeney, Bianca & Tyson Gordon were joined by PGA Pro Chris Crocker. Team Gordon shot 8 under 62 for a nett 56.5. Team One (Alex Brennan, Nicholas Hill, Leigh & Jayla Shacklady PGA Pro Steve Tieck) also shot 8 under 62 for a nett 56.8. The Westlakes course provided a stern test with swirling winds and tricky, sloping greens. Clare GC team won wi...th a nett 52.7 to progress to the National Final. 17.01.2022 What a week at the Alice Springs Golf Club. The Garrett boys visiting from Canberra, Manly legend Cliff Lyons in town for the Legends match and the Northern GC boys visiting for a 9 day golfing marathon. Peter Wilson did a great job organising the boys from Northern including the inaugural John West trophy won by Peter with an average of 35.33points!

17.01.2022 A record Wednesday golf day in Alice Springs - 97 golfers enjoyed a challenging day on the course Heath Jolly won by 2 with 24 points - sensational effort Heath! President Steve & ex-president Steve were 2nd & 3rd with 22 on a c/b. Pam Brown won NAGA whilst Doug Fraser & Joe Bodnar won the Lucky Draw.

17.01.2022 The first day of our NT biggest junior golf clinic with 26 kids - proudly sponsored by Imparja television. Greatly appreciate the support of Al Feehan and assistance of Amy Willshire with the TV add. A huge thank you to assistant Trudy Robertson & helper Jeff Robinson. After a cold start and a thorough warm up the kids worked on putting, then half & full swing. It was great to see 15 new kids attend their first clinic at Alice Springs Golf Club!

16.01.2022 After nearly 50 mls the clouds have started to clear and Wednesday golf is on! There aren’t too many puddles and no carts are allowed. A very unusual March day in Alice with 18 degrees, a little humidity and ten zillion flies!!

15.01.2022 Blitz Golf Alice Springs style - heat, wind, dust and some great golf!!! 35 golfers braved the conditions with Kate Buckland, JD Kohl, Steve Yates & Jake Hughes making it through to the last 4. Jake birdied the 9th from the stands to win an airfare & accommodation to the Blitz final at Glenelg. GM Jai Pumphrey & staff provided a great atmosphere with viewing stands, BBQ & re - hydration station to look after spectators. 14.01.2022 Red Centre Teams summer edition has started with TGU & Parr Phection defending their titles in Div’s 1 & 2. In Div 1 TGU, At Large, Designated Drivers & Home Hardware all started with wins. Div 2 saw defenders Parr Phection off to a strong start, whilst 2 Putt Shakur, Bushwackers & Dude, Where’s My Par? all recorded wins. Fay Saint (Bushwackers) won the $70 voucher for best individual score with a brilliant 24 points!

13.01.2022 We are OPEN again The course has been re - opened from 12pm today with over 40 golfers playing for the first time in a month. Great to see every one following the social distancing requirements including only two players on the tee at any one time. Justin Copestick hit the perfect shot on the 5th with an 8 iron in the members stroke comp. 19 teams played in the Bushfire Appeal Golf Day at 3-30 with several teams vying for best dressed. Russ Schneiter, Barb Hopewell, Ethan Ochs & Peter Davies won with nett 27.875 from the 3 Browns and a Tee. Ray Brown, Tim & Rob Brown and Chris Tee had nett 29.125 ahead of Craig Reid’s team on 29.5. 10.01.2022 BLITZ Golf is here again. Sunday 15th November will see the Alice Springs Golf Club run its 2nd Blitz Golf event. After a very successful event last year there are 32 spots in the revised format for ASGC members with a GA handicap. Andy Rae arranged 60 kids from Arlparra and surrounding areas to come and hit balls on the Oval Huge thank you to Golf Australia, Golf NT , Andy Rae, Dave & Linda Ross who all helped make it happen. 12 of these kids will be selected to attend the Paul Pearson Cup at Alice Springs in mid January

Russ Schneiter won lucky draw, Andrew NAGA and Baden Le Cornu first place on a c/b from Phil a Delsar with 24 pts. Richard Worrall leads POTY with 13 pts from 7 players on 10 pts and a further 5 players on 9 pts.

06.01.2022 A stunning Mt John’s sunrise greeted the final day of Summer Wags. Michael Kain won by 5 with 33 from Caroline Charles, Mitch Henkes & Popeye (Mark Wilton). Peter Lena won the Lucky Draw shirt & Natalie Tieck the RED jacket. The end of season Top Ten was keenly contested with Mitch Henkes winning on 255 from Sponsor Nick Hill 253. There will be a drink & food station as well as a stand to watch the Chip-Off in case of ties after 6 holes. Brett Sayer was 3rd with nett 41.5. A record field of 102 for WAGS today enjoyed slightly chilly conditions with Celia Otley beating Al De Salvio with 26 on a c/b. Nick Hill, Aaron Turner, Greg Neck and Phil Delsar all had 25 pts. John Farren won NAGA whilst Julia Pearce won the Lucky Draw. A very happy KB tested his new Ping irons out with some nice shots after a slow start
