25.01.2022 They have to be joking!! There is an App for everything. If you are too lazy to count the time in your head I guess you need this

25.01.2022 As you probably know the Club has had to close due to the Coronovirus, however if you have any problems you can still ring the club phone number and the message we have left will give you a mobile phone number to ring. With us all having to spend a lot more time at home, being able to communicate on the internet is an important lifeline for a lot of people. We can, believe it or not, still help you with problems in some cases with the use of Skype or another App. Knowing how... to use Skype you can still communicate with loved ones and of course see their faces, so have a play with it and familiarise yourself with it, then if you have a problem in the months ahead we are just a video call away. You will learn how you can display the screen of your pc to us and what you were doing so we can see what the problem is. I have included a link to a Skype tutorial below if you are not familiar with using it. When it tells you to choose a version instead of choosing the web version try typing skype into the search bar on your task bar at the bottom of your computer screen, if the skype App is installed on your PC it will show up and you can click on it to open it. If you have a Microsoft account, which quite a few people do (they just dont realise it) you can just put in your email and the password which you use when you turn your pc on. If you have any queries or would like help from me send me a message on this page and I will give you my phone number. Stay well.....Kathy https://edu.gcfglobal.org/en/skype-2016/

25.01.2022 You dont necessarily need to have bulky scanners and printers to scan essential office documents or photos. 19.01.2022 Are you still in isolation and running out of things to do? How about putting your old family photos hiding away in albums on to your computer and up to Google photos the easy way with your mobile phone. The Google photo scanner app scans your picture and saves it direct to Google photos. You dont need to remove the photo from your album or put it in a scanner. Once in Google photos face recognition will put your photos in the right album for that person. If you have any problems working out how to use the app feel free to send me a private message here with your phone number and I will give you a ring and talk you through it. Stay safe....Kathy.

03.01.2022 If you don't need a landline then there are great economical alternatives to NBN. I use pocket Wi-Fi and are paying $28 a month for 100 GB data. After 6 months it will go up to $38 a month, but I am still winning. My mobile phone plan is unlimited calls and text for $10. A total of $38 to $48 a month maximum, plus I can take my pocket Wi-Fi out and about. The price of mobile broadband offered is constantly DECREASING due to network providers competing against each other.
