Saturday 28 March will see the welcome return of the Arts & Crafters Market to the grounds of the Old Fire Station Gallery, 10 - 2 entry is free. Come and meet the artists, wander through the craft stalls, enjoy lunch at the food stalls, where everything for sale is locally made. Remember to buy art from living artists because the dead ones dont need the money.

08.01.2022 KALAIDASCOPE 2019 MEMBERS CHRISTMAS EXHIBITION EXHIBITION ENDED This years members Christmas exhibition title Kaleidoscope" evokes images of colour and light, and of the magic of looking at an everchanging vision. Come along and be stimulated and enlightened by all the calming, colourful or pastel tones by more than 75 local artists works. It is a great opportunity to relive your feelings from the days of the kaleidoscope. This Summer Exhibition conjures images of lazy days, sand, beaches, ice cream, blue water and sandcastles. The title provides so much scope.

08.01.2022 FOUR PALETTES .............EXHIBITION ENDED........... 4 Palettes Art Exhibition 2020 From the same springboard of colour and paint comes a diversity of treatment and theme - four artists who have been friends for years have collaborated to put together an exhibition of their recent works. Showing just how individual an approach to art can be, their differing visual messages being conveyed bring excitement to visual communication in our area. Winnie Luks vivid colours... explore the range of what can be offered through explosions of feeling in her acrylic abstracts. Keri McSweenys works present her insightful play of colour and geometric forms alongside natural formations in the environment. Cheryl Nugents superb drawing skill is evident in her calligraphic approach to her work in acrylic and water media, with her beloved horses and Australian themes taking front stage. Tricia Reusts love of texture and landscape take precedence in this selection of her work. All four artists are members of the Redcliffe Art Society. Come along to the exhibition to see how they manipulate what an individual artists palette has to offer! Each Thursday of the show, an artist will be present for free-to-the-public demonstrations of their art. See more

04.01.2022 ....CORONA VIRUS... ....................COVID.19............ To all RAS Members please be advised of the following: The RAS Management Committee has made the decision to cease classes and close the Gallery and Gallery Shop from 4:00pm on Sunday 22 March. The initial closure will be for 4 weeks until Monday 20 April.... The Management Committee will review the situation and provide updates as necessary. The General Meeting on Saturday 4 April will not go ahead. Voting on the reviewed RAS Constitution which was to occur at this meeting in April will be postponed to another General Meeting in the future. The date of the next General Meeting will be advised to all RAS members. The Jetty roster is postponed until further notice. Stephen Mills workshop on Sunday 5 April has been postponed until further notice. Tricia Reusts workshops will also be postponed until further notice. The Moreton Bay Arts Council has also advised that the Arts and Crafters Market on Saturday 27 March has been postponed. The Management Committee thanks you for your understanding, be assured that you will be kept up to date with regular communication and we wish you the best of health. See more

It features the work of three Brisbane artists, Cecily Slade, Catherine Hamilton-Jones and Lin Stanton and runs until December 5. The attached pics are just a small sample of these wonderful original artworks so do not miss it.
