15.01.2022 Dad Neal Smith's wrap below of Phoebe Smith's participation in the U12 Schoolgirl States up in Bundaberg. Phoebe made the State squad again, but due to Covid, a National comp wasn't possible this year. A wonderful achievement none the less. Fantastic tournament from Phoebe. - Co- Captain of Sunny Coast - Heap of wickets and catches... - Batting improved out of sight - Sunshine Coast finished 2nd, best ever result - Selected as players player for the tournament by her Sunny Coast Team mates - Selected in the Merit Queensland Team. Unfortunately no nationals this year but a huge effort to get selected - Outstanding team of girls, Coach Kevin Orchard and Manager Janeine Stibbie and great bunch of parents made this a great experience. 09.01.2022 In so many ways, it's been a tumultuous year with plenty of bad news on tap. Thank you to Neal Smith for suggesting we share some good news and make mention of a very special addition to the Cyclones' Family. One of our former Juniors and current Peninsula player, Sebastian Schooley-Wheeler has welcomed his first child into the world.... a little girl named Avaliah. This makes Darren Wheeler and Sharon Schooley first time Grandparents, and our Junior Blaster Coordinator, Hayden Schooley-Wheeler a first time uncle. We hope in a few years that Avaliah will join the Junior Blaster ranks and aspire to emulate Cyclones' Girl's Rep Players like Jemma Savill and Phoebe Smith. Congratulations Sebastian and welcome Avaliah
