24.01.2022 At Redcliffe Little Athletic's we love sharing our athletes successes. This Reddy Little A's champion Charli Walker was awarded the sportsmanship award at her Physie club last week. Congratulations Charli. You may also know Charli from helping in the canteen, along with her brother Jack, Mum Claire and Dad Andy. Charli and Jack also helped run the lolly stand at our recent carnival. Congratulations on your sportsmanship award Charli, very well deserved. Be sure to congratulate Charli when you see her Friday night

24.01.2022 Fantastic effort, cheering and sportsmanship at Ipswich Carnival by Redcliffe Little Athletes - u7 Elijah, u9 Chrysler, u11 Zyon, u12 Samuel, u13s Daniel and Zobair. PB of the day goes to Elijah.. shot put previous PB was 4.70m today threw 5.29m!!! Lots of other great efforts, PBs by all and even medal bling Special mention to Chrysler winning his 800m in PB 2.44 with 17 second lead!!! Don't forget Last night to register for Regionals on ResultsHQ.

20.01.2022 TRAINING AND UNIFORM UPDATE Relays and sprints training today 5 to 6pm. Good for Regional relays but also school sports. Field training Thursday 4.30 to 5.30pm. UNIFORMS Seems our uniforms have gone missing in the mail!!! There will be a delay in getting them remade and sent out. We are seeking permission from LAQ to allow those athletes without a uniform yet to compete at carnivals in non uniform, but will require all badges displayed. Stay tuned, when we know delivery date we'll let you know immediately.

17.01.2022 The rundown on Regionals was in the newsletter again this week. Today's your last chance to nominate via ResultsHQ. Any Qs please just ask. Can YOU spare 1 to 2 hours to help us set up for the carnival next Saturday 23rd please? 7am gazebo and fencing erectors, putting wheelie bins around grounds, roping off areas, putting up signage, sweeping out clubhouse, putting equipment at event sites, etc. We also need help through the day running events, cleaning toilets, etc. Packi...ng up at the end, what can we depend on you to help with? If all parents of athletes attending volunteered just 1 hour it would make it flow so much better and alleviate pressure and stress on the volunteer committee. Let us know please via FB message, or commenting below. It's so good our kids have this carnival opportunity so close to home, in a Covid restrictive world. Jump in and make the most of it See more

16.01.2022 Congratulations to athletes ( u9 Chrysler, u10 Emma, u13s Taisha, Dan n Zobair) and opens Amber and Jasmine-Rose, who competed at LAQ Spring carnival in Bundaberg yesterday. A great and VERY LONG day where you all did your absolute bests, tried new events, saw some PBs, some medals, met new friends, socialised, had fun and displayed brilliant sportsmanship. Regional Relays on Nov 7th is a paper based nomination in club house on Friday night. LAQ summer Carnival on Oct 31st will open soon on Results HQ too. Nominations normally close about a week before. 09.01.2022 Oops can not believe we missed this amazing committee members special day. A very happy belated birthday to our Kym Drummond. Kym has been involved with Redcliffe Little Athletics for over 20 years (2 decades!!) Volunteering from day dot, and working hard on the committee in various roles for about 15 years, plus you'll see her trackside officiating at LAQ carnivals, and is a life member. We hope you had a great birthday Kym and here's to a fantastic year ahead. We appreciate you so much. Join me in wishing Kym a happy belated birthday...we're only 6 days late!
