09.01.2022 Come join us for our 10th BIRTHDAY PARTY We are celebrating in the best way we know how by putting on a spectacular show featuring highlights from our past 10 years of performing at the REDCLIFFE ENTERTAINMENT CENTRE Ten years ago a group of like-minded thespians got together with the aim of providing Redcliffe, and indeed the greater Moreton Bay Region, with access to high-quality, affordable family-friendly theatre - and so RMT was created.... Since then we have gone on to produce THE SOUND OF MUSIC our inaugural production MARY POPPINS, PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, The QLD Community Premier of WICKED, the WORLD Community Premiere of SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER, THE WIZARD OF OZ in fact a whopping 23 major musicals over the 10 years. Each of these musicals offers the opportunity to our community to join us onstage at the Redcliffe Entertainment Centre either as a performer, musician, backstage, front of house or in a production role. Usually these major musicals will incorporate a team upwards of 100 non-professionals and so we are keeping true to the values and goals that we aspired to when setting up the company in providing opportunities to our community and in particular to our youth - to experience theatre first-hand in a professional theatre. RMT have given literally thousands of young people the opportunity to experience being involved in a major theatre production and have inspired them to go on to bigger things in theatre. Come and CELEBRATE with us November 13 and 14 at THEATRE 102 our home here in Redcliffe where we now run all our rehearsals, youth productions and smaller shows - or November 18 and 19 at the Redcliffe Entertainment Centre our venue for all our bigger productions. Kaley is a familiar face to RMT audiences with credits including Oliver, Hairspray, Phantom of the Opera, Saturday Night Fever, Grease and Beauty and the Beast, Into the Woods, Back to the 80’s and Animal Farm.... Tiani has been performing from the very young age of 4. She has continued to dance and compete, representing her school in many Eisteddfods throughout her schooling years. Tiani found her love for musical theatre in 2015 where she played the role of a cheerleader in RMT’s production of Grease. She has gone on to play the role of Dynamite #1 in her school’s production of Hairspray and more recently, played the role of Merry Murderess Mona in Chicago - High School Edition.
