Running through Terms 4 and 1 of the school year, T-Ball is a great introduction to baseball for players seven years and younger. 19.01.2022 ** U16 & U18 Scrimmage Games ** Brisbane North vs Brisbane Souths Brisbane North will be hosting Brisbane Souths for a couple of scrimmage games this weekend as... per below details: Under 16s Saturday 12th September Warm Up from 1pm on Field 1 Game Start Time: 2pm Under 18s Sunday 13th September Warm Up from 8:30am on Field 1 Game Start Time: 9:30am All players must wear BN Playing Uniform with Undershirt only and MUST bring their OWN personal playing equipment, water bottle and sunscreen to these trials. Uniform Fittings for those requiring any BN Apparel will be conducted during these games. COVID SAFE INFO Please review the attached COVID Safe Facility Map that will be in place for these tryouts at Redcliffe Padres. Spectators are welcome but must adhere to social distancing rules and register their intention to stay around the field outside of the fenced playing areas at the designated Registration area. 19.01.2022 UNIFORM ORDER UPDATE As a result of delays in the supply chain and delivery times caused by COVID-19, we have been advised that orders of hoodies, overshirts and junior playing shirts will arrive on 23 September. Many thanks for your patience during this period. Those who are yet to order, please do so ASAP to ensure delivery before the season begins. The Uniform Shop will next be open on Friday night 6-7pm with future dates TBC pre-season.

GBLs favourite eatery has been decked out by our Red Army over the break and the new sign will spruce it up even further! We sure cant wait for Opening Night to dig into a burger, hotdog or even a homemade brownie!

This Saturday (29 August) we have added an additional LL / JL Scrimmage match for our registered players. ... Registration 8am for an 8.30am start - finishing approximately 10.30am for all Little League and Junior League players. Please register on our event page. Note - Padres is operating under Baseball Qld Covid Plan. 16.01.2022 UNIFORM ORDERS - COVID DELAY We have been informed by our supplier that, due to COVID restrictions, we will need to order our uniforms a bit earlier to ensure we have them in time for the season start. This is particularly so for overshirt orders (JL, SL, U20s, Seniors & Masters). The uniform shop (at the clubhouse) will be open on Friday 14th August 2020 from 7pm-8pm and Saturday 15th August from 2.30pm-4.30pm.... Talobilla was abuzz with activity as these future stars took the field (many for the first time) and impressed with their newfound skills. 15.01.2022 MAJOR ACCOUNCEMENT - PADRES TO DOUBLE DIVISIONS 1 & 2 PRESENCE In huge news, Padres have confirmed submission of two Division 1 and two Division 2 sides in the 2020-21 Greater Brisbane League competition! With an impressive number of up-and-coming juniors hot on the tails of our top teams, Senior Coach Phil Overlack is spearheading the entry of two additional development sides into South-East Queenslands premier grades. Matthew Bates and Danny Dunsdon will be working with P...hil to cover the four teams and ensure top-grade opportunities continue to be provided to our growing member-base. Were looking forward to seeing how the teams fare and, of course, all the extra premier-league games at Talobilla our members can enjoy!

14.01.2022 SENIOR LEAGUE KICKS OFF PRE-SEASON We had a great turn-out with over 30 players completing Senior League testing last night. A huge thanks to the coaches: Keith Land, Mark Boys, Phil Overlack, Dan Wilson, Craig Beattie, Mark Boys, Adam White, Rodney Reed, Chris Forster, Peter Dunsdon, Chris Foster, Terry OHea and David West! 12.01.2022 LL & JL PRE-SEASON SCRIMMAGE GAMES We loved seeing our Little Leaguers and Junior Leaguers take part in some pre-season scrimmage games on Saturday, with Senior League also taking part later in the day. We are currently in the final stages of grading and sorting our 20 junior teams. Senior League players will be contacted shortly regarding team allocations while Junior League and Little League will have preliminary teams sorted next week. Our T-Ballers and Rookie Ballers wil...l assemble at their Muster Night on Friday for teams to be finalised on Saturday. 12.01.2022 TOM WEST RUNS UMPIRING MASTER CLASS Great to see Padres' own, Tom West, leading an umpiring development session alongside QBUA's Barry Foat at the Queensland Pathways session on Saturday. Usually in the USA umpiring in the Minor Leagues this time of the year, we are glad that there has been some upside in COVID's disruptions - being the development of Queensland's umpires!

We tried but failed to prove the forecasters wrong but with conditions only looking to worsen weve had to make a call to postpone the start of our program to next Friday, 14 August. The program will now run until 4 September to make up for tonight. We think its a baseball movie and a night on the couch!

10.01.2022 40 JUNIOR LEAGUERS TAKE PART IN CAMP We were very pleased to see over 40 Junior Leaguers take part in this years Camp Padres on Friday and Saturday! Another mammoth effort from our Red Army (many of whom also helped out at our T-Ball) helping teach the kids new skills and test their abilities ahead of team selection in the coming weeks. While COVID cancelled the sleepover aspect of the evening, the coaches seemed to be a lot more awake for the Saturday morning session...! ... Both Junior Leaguers and Little Leaguers will take part in scrimmage games over the next few weekends while Senior League (U17) have their second testing evening tonight. Great to see our kids back in action!

09.01.2022 PADRES TO FIELD RECORD FIVE WOMENS TEAMS Turns out we achieved the numbers to add a fourth side and, in fact, enough to add a fifth! With nearly 60 women signed on for the short season comp this year, Padres have incredibly recorded nearly a 50% gender split for senior players! Well done ladies for giving it a go! More than half our girls turned out for a session this afternoon - players ranging from Mums and Grandmums to friends and total new faces to the game. Even players... returning from decades in hiatus! We are continuing to see this league go from strength to strength and are very excited to see what this season will bring... stay tuned!

08.01.2022 ** 2020 Brisbane North U16 & U18 Youth Team Tryouts ** Brisbane North will be holding tryouts for the 2020 Youth U16 and U18 age groups to compete at the upcomi...ng State Titles in September/October. Under 18 State Titles (Redlands Rays Baseball Club, Sheldon) Date: Thursday 24th September to Sunday 27th September 2020 Players born between January 2003 and December 2004 are eligible to participate. Under 16 State Titles (Wests Bulldogs Baseball Club, Darra) Date: Thursday 1st October to Sunday 4th October 2020 Players born between January 2005 and December 2006 are eligible to participate. Tryouts for both age groups will be held at the following dates and times: Trial 1 (Skill Testing) Venue: Redcliffe Padres Baseball Club Saturday 15th August from 3.30pm to 5.30pm or sooner Players are to arrive 30 minutes prior to start time for registration purposes. Trial 2 (On Field Assessments) Venue: Narangba Demons Baseball Club Saturday 22nd August from 3pm to 5:30pm or sooner Players are to arrive 15 minutes prior to start time for registration purposes. All players must wear full baseball uniform and bring their personal playing equipment and plenty of water and sunscreen to these trials. Please wear club uniforms only, no representative uniforms are to be worn. ALL players wanting to participate will be required to complete and return the attached form to [email protected] prior to these dates. Any volunteers wanting to assist with the collection of data or staff for these tryouts must complete the following training from the below link and send the certificate of completion to [email protected]. 07.01.2022 PADRES WOMEN GEAR UP FOR ANOTHER SEASON We had another great turnout to our Womens session yesterday afternoon with a mix of new and experienced players with lots of laughs! 06.01.2022 UNIFORM SHOP & CANTEEN OPEN THIS EVENING Our uniform shop will be open for sizing / orders this evening, along with our canteen with a limited menu between 6-7pm. We will also have some laptops available for registrations as we head into our final night of pre-season T-Ball!

04.01.2022 MEET OUR 2020-21 LITTLE LEAGUERS With a handful of disinfectant, our 2020-2021 Little Leaguers kicked off their season preparation on Friday and Saturday at our annual Little League Camp! Although there was no sleepover this year, the kids took part in various on-field skills and testing and even had breakfast cooked for them by some of our loyal Red Army! A big thanks to our Junior Director of Coaching, David West, along with our numerous volunteer coaches, including an impr...essive number of older junior players! 04.01.2022 TOM WEST RUNS UMPIRING MASTER CLASS Great to see Padres own, Tom West, leading an umpiring development session alongside QBUAs Barry Foat at the Queensland Pathways session on Saturday. Usually in the USA umpiring in the Minor Leagues this time of the year, we are glad that there has been some upside in COVIDs disruptions - being the development of Queenslands umpires!
