17.01.2022 Total Fire Ban Extension Update Ban now in place until midnight Friday 20 September. Report all fires immediately to Triple Zero 000. This is one of the worst f...ire situations in many years in our region. Please do not use angle grinders, welders or similar out of doors. Serious penalties may apply to breaches of the ban. All brigades have been extremely busy in their local areas and at Canungra and Beechmont etc. Being sent to people lighting backyard fires can cause unnecessary delays in fire trucks response to emergencies. 09.01.2022 Sometimes the client just goes "Wow, we are glad we got the Vac Truck in". Services are Not always where they are supposed to be. The Water Lines were supposed to be at 90 degrees to the meter, the electrical and Comms conduits were supposed to be stacked as two separate trenches, they were about to dig through the middle with the excavator. Remember, if in doubt, Suck it out!

03.01.2022 Logan City SES had a reasonably busy night, with about 25 call outs. Tonights storm comes as a very timely reminder to regularly check your gutters are clear ...of debris, such as leaves, twigs etc. Not only are debris-filled gutters a fire hazard, but blocked gutters during storms can cause internal flooding. SES are available in emergency, to tarp or temporarily repair roofs, but we are unable to provide maintenance such as gutter cleaning. For Storm Damage, please call SES 132500.
