25.01.2022 Nice little Friday job fitting and oiling a Jarrah breakfast bar on a small balcony. Trying to get 30mm Jarrah was a nightmare so just machined my own. Also note our harsh Australian winter .

23.01.2022 Some jarrah clad units, for our great client in the hills laundry reno. Jarrah really has wonderful colour variation and the results come up beautiful. Solid wood is so much better than laminate mdf or chipboard.... in my humble opinion anyway!

18.01.2022 A few pics from a recent slab hunting/research trip down to the south west of WA. Took a stroll through part of the magnificent Marri and Karri forest. These trees are truly amazing.... hundreds of years old and massive. Pictures can never do them justice but it was great to see one of the places some of our timber comes from!

17.01.2022 Site work - a job we did a few weeks back. Recladding 3 elevations of a 60s kit home in Hilton. We removed all the original cladding, insulated the walls the lined with a moisture barrier then fitted new weatherboard losp cladding. Existing pipes were moved back into wall by the guys @downwestplumbingandgas Existing aluminium windows were removed and we fitted new aluminium windows from @nulookwindows_au... Original sash windows were kept and we fitted new architrave trims. Weatherboard and other building materials from @johnsbuildingsupplies

11.01.2022 Making the latest batch of butchers blocks. Made from a selection of 4 stunning WA hardwoods, jarrah, sheoak, tuart and york gum. The York Gum is one of the hardest timbers I have worked with..... nearly killed my thicknesser!

10.01.2022 Before and after shots of an alfresco deck we did last week. Replaced the old decking boards with some beautiful jarrah. Finished in the always great osmo decking oil. Found a guy on fb who took the old decking for making cray pots so kept it out of landfill. Also a shot of a massive female redback I found right near my hand while clearing the old decking off site.
