25.01.2022 Our music students continue to have success with two of our students receiving certificates for their recent music exams with the Australian Music Examinations Board on their instruments. This took months of preparation and sacrifice to prepare a program of music and technical exercises ready for examination. These two gentlemen have done very well. Congratulations to you both. Ben Jensen Level Four Trumpet Pass with Credit Joshua Kington Level Two Saxophone for Leisure ... Pass with credit AMEB exams are available for instrumental students who want to be challenged and move to the next level of playing and performance. They occur in Biloela late August to early September every year. See Mr Rankin for more information.
25.01.2022 What do you want to be when you leave school? The age old question asked of students and one that some students find difficult to answer. QMEA STEM days give students a taste of different career pathways in the Minerals and Mining Areas. Seven students from Redeemer participated at Beakers, Bots and Build Day at Moura State High School where they conducted scientific experiments as Chemical Engineers under the guidance of an Anglo Graduate Engineer. A Robotic challenge was ...also set to navigate a mining circuit under time pressure. Thank you to guest speakers, Anglo Graduates Manuel Cabrera (Chemical Engineer) and Kudzai Dube (Geologist) who outlined their professions and how they chose their career pathway. Our students were great representatives of the College values of REACH (Respect, Effort, Appreciation, Christlikeness and Humility).

22.01.2022 Covid19 has been difficult for the performing arts this year with theatres, bands and choirs banned from meeting and performing music together. During a time when the arts was needed, it was, out of necessity, denied us. Our college was not spared with our choirs and bands adopting physical distancing and provided with limited opportunities to rehearse together. The thing about the creative arts though is that it is creative, and we, like performers worldwide, have looked for ways to share music and performances.
