25.01.2022 Thanks for joining us in church this morning! If we can trust God with our eternity, we can trust God with our immediacy.

22.01.2022 ‘Just Do It’ Nike are lucky that intellectual property laws weren't around in the 1st century, because leading up to Jesus’ first public miracle, his mother spoke the now-famous phrase- Whatever Jesus says, JUST DO IT! Jesus and his disciples were attending a village wedding- possibly the highlight of the social calendar for that year- and the hosts had run out of wine. Much has been said about the significance of this account, but the simple fact is, the host family’s most... wonderful life event was on the downhill track to disaster. There was nothing they could do, they were all out of ideas. But Jesus’ mother, Mary, knew there was only one solution- whatever Jesus said, JUST DO IT. In this first miracle, Mary made one of the most profound and influential theological statements known in the Scriptures. How many miracles have we missed out on, how many problems have we endured, because we believed and acted on our own ideas and strength, rather than trusting in God and acting on what He says. Let’s keep it simple, whatever Jesus says- JUST DO IT! Join us Sundays for 'Church by the Lake', at Urban Expresso Cafe- behind Kawana Private Hospital, 5 Innovation Drive Birtiniya, Cafe opens 9:30am, ministry session starts at 10.00am.

19.01.2022 Do you want to see prophecy fulfilled? 'It's certain that genuine prophecies from God are not going to be used to predict who is going to win a horse race or a political race! We need to judge and rightly divide such so-called prophecy.'- (Kenneth E Hagin- Seven Steps For Judging Prophecy) New Testament prophecy, is not Old Testament prophecy. New Testament believers don't seek out prophets or 'seers', for direction. We have the indwelling Holy Spirit within us, to lead each ...of us. Why would God go to all the trouble of making each of us the temple of the Holy Spirit, only to lead us through others? Would you go to your neighbours to give your children directions? No, His Spirit bears witness with our spirits, that we are children of God. We each need to learn to be led by the Holy Spirit. In this season some well-meaning ministers have misunderstood the role of New Testament prophecy. Many have wisely and humbly apologised. We have confused the plans and purposes of God, with people and institutions who we think God has ordained. If you've been around the church long enough you would have seen this before- and we will probably see it again. However, the truly 'prophetic' church is reaching the lost with the Gospel. He is waiting for the Church to take the Gospel to every tribe and every nation. Let's focus on that and we will see prophecy fulfilled. 'And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.' Matt 24:14

19.01.2022 The Love Deficit When God made us in His image, He made us to love and be loved. The extent to which we can comprehend the love of God, is the extent to which we can experience the life He has for us. Ephesians 3:14-19 is a Holy Spirit inspired prayer, that you and all the saints may be able to comprehend the breadth, and length and height and depth of the love of Christ, so that we may be filled up to all the fulness of God. ...Continue reading

16.01.2022 Growing Up Into Christ - The Importance of God’s Word. Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. 1 John 3:2 NIV Christians are destined to become like Christ. How much of that privileged destiny we enjoy in this life depends on how much we cooperate with God in our own Christian walk. Ephesians 4:13 teaches us, that Christians who are pr...Continue reading

10.01.2022 Mature Christians Seek Out Christian Fellowship In 2nd Timothy, Paul writes send Mark, for he has been a great help to me. What a wonderful testimony- to be written up in God’s Word as being a great help to the Apostle Paul. However, Mark wasn’t always a great help. We know from reading Acts that his record of ministry was a little chequered. The good-news about Mark is that despite his youthful failures, Mark stuck around, received correction and grew to have a fruitful mi...Continue reading

09.01.2022 We had a fun Christmas service this morning! What an privilege it is to celebrate the birth of our Saviour with such a wonderful church family.

08.01.2022 Thanks for joining us in church this Sunday! We don’t want anything getting in the way of our desire for the Word of God. 1 Peter 2:2

08.01.2022 But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere. 2 Cor 2:14 NIV He’s always leading us to victory... but are we following Him, or are we fighting our own battles in our own strength?

08.01.2022 I love the smell of coffee. Some people know all the different flavours and types of coffee- I just know that I love its smell. When I open a new bag of coffee beans the first thing I do is take a long deep sniff and savour its rich amorous aroma. There’s something about the smell of good strong coffee that speaks of comfort, warmth and good company. But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the know...ledge of him everywhere. 2 Corinthians 2:14-16 ESV The ‘fragrance from life to life', spoken of in 2 Cor 2, refers to the blessing that mature, victorious living Christians have out those around them. When a joyful victorious Christian walks into a room they bring joy and victory with them- those around them are blessed. On the other hand, those who are living a fleshly life have the smell of death on them. If you’ve ever smelt a dead animal, you’ll know what it smells like. How often have you driven by an animal that has been killed on a roadside and it’s stench gets sucked into your car? The car stays putrid well after you’ve past driven past. The ‘smell of death’ spoken of in 2 Corinthians 2, represents fleshly works that, not only reap death in the person who’s doing them, but the odour impacts those around them with a stench of death. As Christians, we are called to grow into that full-flavoured aromatic, victorious living Christians. When we walk into a room, or when we open our mouths, the sweet smell of victory in Jesus Christ overwhelms the stench of death! 06.01.2022 Renounce self-righteousness, denounce condemnation and announce righteousness! God sees us, as who we really are and how we can potentially be. But if we don’t get His vision for us- our lives will stay unfulfilled and fall short of the good things God has for us In 2 Cor 5: 16-17, the Bible says we are to no longer see ourselves in a natural way- we have been made ‘the righteousness of God, in Christ Jesus. Being ‘the righteousness of God’ is an incredible position- you can'...t get more righteous, you can’t get more privileged, you can’t have more access to God. Being the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus is the PhD of righteousness- once you have that qualification you can’t become more qualified! There are three things we can do daily, to experience the reality of being righteous. Firstly, we must renounce self-righteousness. We have no claim to righteousness by our own effort or our own goodness. Nothing we can do, or not do can make us anymore righteous outside of believing in Jesus. (Romans 4: 2-5 ESV) Once we’ve renounced self-righteousness, we must denounce condemnation. Condemnation is the accusing voice of judgement. (Romans 8:1-3) When voices of condemnation come against us, we need to recognise that they are not from God- they are the voice of the devil, he is the one who accuses Christians. Finally, once we have renounced self-righteousness and denounced condemnation, we must announce that you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Boldly declare who you are in Christ Jesus. In every situation, announce your position in Christ, saying I am the righteousness of God- in Christ Jesus. Renounce self-righteousness, denounce condemnation and announce righteousness. Here’s a short rhyme to help. I believe what God says about me I’ve been washed of sin’s debris Awarded my Righteous PhD Now I act on His guarantee!
