13.01.2022 Hard to describe the challenges of rebuilding one of the regions most iconic houses, severely damaged by Cyclone Debbie March 28th 2017. Working with insurance companies and their consultants, owners living 3000kms away and the house on an island in the Whitsundays, there was a lot of 'back & forth' but the final outcome resulted in a beautifully upgraded house. Both in engineering terms and building codes, to hopefully withstand another major cyclone but also to modernize & ...upgrade to meet the times of today. We thank the owners for putting their foot down and demanding to use a local builder with their local trades who take pride in their work and their community, over a large 'blow in' insurance builder. We also thank the insurance company and their consultants for their patience to allow the work and the trades to do their job with pride. Merry Xmas owners. I'm sure you'll enjoy your up and coming holidays with a new addition to the family, ensuring another generation of fun to be had in the amazing Whitsundays :) See more

04.01.2022 Certainly one of the more challenging projects we've had for a while. Thanks to Simon and the boys, including Glenn from Strathdickie plant hire that booked in 2 days, which turned into 7 days due to unexpected drainage rock under the slab..
