25.01.2022 Thursday morning and this morning Well, I’ve decided to call it (you guys are still on!). I have a date tonight and I want to have a couple of beers and besides, I’m getting too old for this s@#t and feel like I have nothing left to prove...so that’s a total of 7kg in about 2 weeks and five days (going from my heaviest sabotage attempt) while still maintaining tip top shape. Remember, this was intended as an antithesis to the weight loss challenge events you commonly see g...oing on because, what’s the point if you feel terrible at the end? It’s far better to feel like a machine which is something that’s so hard to describe to those who have never truly been in shape. So, if you have an event either social or sporting, contacting Redemption could be the best move you’ll ever make. Thank you to our clients and supporters, Bek for her unwavering support and Mitch for helping with the final push this morning. I’ll leave you with some tips which you can take to the bank -Remember weight loss does not tend to be linear, it’s a little up and down (hopefully more down than up!) -Do NOT listen to experts, even those with qualifications. A piece of paper means very little in the real world, this is one profession where you must walk the walk. Talk is cheap. -Terms such as safe weight loss are meaningless, there is only smart or stupid weight loss. If your body’s getting the nutrients it needs and you have fat to give, you’re fine. -Avoid people who steal energy. Phrases to look out for may be, Don’t get too skinny, What are you doing that for?, etc. No one who’s ever been fit would ever do anything but encourage someone trying to achieve the same because they know what awaits for you. -Rest is imperative. Certain hormones needed for repair and growth are only produced during deep sleep. -Realise that being hungry at times is actually good for your body and mind, science will eventually back me on this claim. Intermittent fasting seems to be key, I skip breakfast most days. -Stay the course, your mind and ultimately your spirit is the key to unlocking your true potential. -Scales are not your enemy or a negative thing, they are a scientific tool. They are only unhealthy when you are unhealthy in body or mind (obsession would fall into this category also). Learn how your body works. -As a society we’ve become soft because we have it better than ever. Seek discomfort so you may know true comfort. Everything good is hard to achieve. Stay away from easy. -Finally, remember redemption is within. Save yourself. See more

23.01.2022 Hello 2020! We are well rested and ready to get back into training for another year. Here at Redemption we focus on 3 elements: Mind, body and spirit. You will always find an excuse to not put yourself and your training first - put as much effort into these 3 elements, as you do the other things you value (social relationships, work, family etc.) and you'll see results. 22.01.2022 LATEST UPDATE: After much agonising and with great caution, Redemption has made the decision to stay open for the foreseeable future. However, all group training is suspended, leaving just personal sessions available (contact us for rescheduled times). There will be strict precautions taken and heavy modifications to the training. Sessions will be shortened to fifty minutes to allow clients to come and leave without crossing paths. Arriving clients will remain out front until... I come to get you. A sanitising station will be set up to wash hands before you train, during and when you leave. Remember to also wash your hands before you leave home. If equipment is used it will be cleaned before every session. One hut will be used for one client, then cleaned, the other hut will be used for the next client and then cleaned. You are also required to bring your own gloves and wraps, towels, etc. Ensure you’ve been to the bathroom before you come, as access to the house is not permitted.
