We focus on skills such as brushing and flossing teeth, the preschool children all got a new toothbrush and demonstrated how they brush their teeth. 03.01.2022 Yesterday we celebrated National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Childrens Day. The children engaged in creative experiences where they could explore aspects of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island culture. We also used dream time stories and engaged in Aboriginal dancing to further extend our knowledge.

We built on our gross and loco motor skills as we got super active in a range of activities such as bike riding, soccer, running and jumping! Our preschoolers explored the human body this week by engaging in many crafts, sensory experiences and discussions. We loved exploring a range of sensory expereinces this week, such as play doh, sand and water beads. Throughout the week the Preschoolers learnt about the letter B, we explored phonics, wrote the letter B and so much more. Sarah Redfern and Dr William Redfern were married on the 14th April 1811. ... We are proud of the history our Early Learning Centre holds and we seek to honour the Redfern Familys legacy.

26.12.2021 Our Tiny Wanderers have enjoyed many different sensory experiences this week, exploring different textures through water play, sand play, foam, cotton balls and more. The children have thoroughly enjoyed their messy play time each day. Our Little Explorers have been continuing their learning journey into season, focusing on ‘Summer’ this week. The children have engaged in craft experiences such as making sun flowers. Sensory experiences such as beach sensory tables with sa...nd, blue play dough and a variety of sea creatures as well as story times and flash cards to further support the children’s understanding of this topic. In our 3-4 Years Preschool Room have continued their literacy activities, focusing on the letter ‘H’ this week through various art and craft activities, group times and fine motor experiences. The children have also celebrated Eid-Ul-Adha by creating their own cards. This week the children also began learning about self-care such as wiping their noses, collecting their belongings and washing their hands. In our 4-5 Preschool room the children have continued their school readiness learning, focusing on the letter ‘J’ this week. The children have also begun their learning journey into sustainability, planting seedlings into their class greenhouse and seedling pots, the children have taken turns to water the seedlings and are very excited to watch them grow over the coming weeks.
