10.01.2022 Project Highlight - RMIT University Research project (Building Integrated Photovoltaics). Innovative technology allows for photovoltaics to be integrated into walls, roofs and windows of a building. Architects and developers are challenged to do this in a safe way that complies with local building codes. Together with SEAL (Solar Energy Application Group) at RMIT, we have been researching fire safety requirements for applying building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) in Australian buildings. With this ongoing work, we hope to push a little bit closer to RED's vision of sustainable and safe communities for everyone, everywhere.

RED Fire Engineers are starting a project to aid the industry by establishing some "rules of thumb" and practical guidance in the intersection between fire safety and environmentally sustainable designs.
