25.01.2022 Weather for ducks today at Red Goat Farm :) the creek is running

24.01.2022 After some water damage ( a leaking sink seal ) a new shelf was in order... From this to this ... Peter Roberts you are a champion!!

23.01.2022 New garden bed at Red Goat Farm - lucky we have plenty of grubs and earthworms for all :) and for a nice dust bath after all that hard work.

22.01.2022 Social licence is notoriously difficult to quantify and virtually impossible to measure, which means it is often shunted into the ‘too hard’ basket. It must be earned rather than granted, and it can be extremely tricky to regain once lost. Although it seems trendy, it is not new.

20.01.2022 Hard at work - Australian Ringneck Parrot, or commonly ‘28’ - although not one of our farm animals, they dig like little troupers at Red Goat Farm :)

19.01.2022 Our pregnant does enjoying a day of sunshine in the long grass before a week of August rain - at Red Goat Farm :)

19.01.2022 Cocoa has arrived at her new home... Looks like she is in a good place :) We love it when we get photos and stories about their new life.

18.01.2022 Sometimes it is a bit of challenging to leave the warm house to do your work in the rain. But what a reward when you look up ... Red Goat Farm

14.01.2022 Revegetation at Red Goat Farm - today’s effort :) Step 1 ... 2 ... 3 ... x ... 216 Casuarina Decussata, local Sheoak. With a light drizzle for the next few days, which will provide perfect growing conditions. Grow babies, we are working on a at least 85% success rate.

13.01.2022 Kambarang Second spring October-November Season of birth Longer dry periods... And birth is certainly part of life at Red Goat Farm... See more

13.01.2022 Something is happening in the orchard - at Red Goat Farm ... Figs, Almonds and Pepinoes are stirring :) new shoots are peaking on Apple, Lemon, Orange and Nectarine trees ...

13.01.2022 Good morning from Red Goat Farm - our young goats are loving fresh wattle, Sydney Wattle or Acacia longifolia, an important part of goat diet ... a local weed in the Great Southern of WA, it smothers native flora if allowed to take over.

12.01.2022 Another side of farming - Red Goat Farm ‘laboratory task’ ... We are constantly checking for parasites in our animals. Unnoticed it can set them back weeks and in fact be fatal. All part of a daily routine.

12.01.2022 What a good read ...

11.01.2022 More revegetation along our creek at Red Goat Farm - with a keen group of fans in the background. Thank you to TCG Torbay Catchment Group for another 150 Karri trees!

10.01.2022 More plants are going in at Red Goat Farm - Eucalyptus diversicolor, Karri Tree. Seems fitting as we are already live amongst Karri Trees on our beautiful hill at Bornholm.

08.01.2022 Time to reflect and have a breather at Red Goat Farm - all natives are in the ground, and Kayla is suggesting to have a play. Good idea, Kayla :D

06.01.2022 Another day on Red Goat Farm. - we relocated this beautiful Mengden's brown snake, western brown snake or alternatively, gwardar. She is now living at West Cape Howe National Park.

06.01.2022 Red Goat Farm - grub removal at its best. Just love it when chickens and Guinea fowls work together and get it done...

06.01.2022 How many Western Ringtail Possums can you spot? Grab your friends and family and help count Western Ringtail Possums in the area by joining this year’s Ringtai...l Possum tally 2021. Whether you live on an urban block with a small garden; adjacent to an area of bushland or have a large rural property, you can contribute to Western Ringtail Possum conservation by counting the possums you see. The tally starts on Saturday, 10 April and the Oyster Harbour Catchment Group Inc. are asking participants to count Ringtails on at least one occasion over a 4 week period. Western Ringtail Possums are critically endangered so every survey counts. For more information, visit: https://bit.ly/3fLU0JM

06.01.2022 You take your eyes off the weeds, and voila... they take over! Red Goat Farm - this is going straight into to compost mount.

05.01.2022 Red Goat Farm - the first of so many trees we planted 8 years ago.

05.01.2022 Red Goat Farm - 10-12 months young does. It will be hard to let go of these beautiful females. Let’s hope we find only good places for them...

05.01.2022 Lazy Sunday morning at Red Goat Farm - Yandy, Anubis and Hunter are enjoying the sun on their backs. The view is not bad either...

03.01.2022 We had some wind with a record downpour in last few days at Red Goat Farm - no goats were hurt in the process :)

03.01.2022 Djilba - Spring at Red Goat Farm - I was gardening yesterday and looked up, Carpobrotus, commonly known as pigface. Just beautiful :)
