21.01.2022 The PM says JobKeeper will be cut to $1,200 per fortnight after September 28, or $750 for those working fewer than 20 hours per week, with further cuts next year. The JobSeeker unemployment benefit will also change after that date, with the $550 coronavirus supplement cut to $250 through until the end of the year. Businesses will have to prove they're still in financial distress each quarter, down at least 30 per cent on pre-pandemic levels, to remain eligible for the program.

02.01.2022 Thursday Tax Tip The instant asset write off of $150,000 has been extended to 31 Dec 2020, but there are some important points to remember If its a car you want to buy -luxury car tax limits apply, business use apportionments must be made if you use it for private, and it has to be BRAND NEW to qualify.... Your most crucial question to ask yourself is - Can the business afford it, and do you need it? If you can make the same amount of money without spending extra $$, youre not gaining anything. And dont forget - you are only saving the TAX on that amount of expenditure - so if youre in the 37.5% tax bracket, your $10k purchase only saves you $3750...so you are still $6250out of pocket. Plan wisely
