14.01.2022 Just over two weeks ago, Redgum decided to stop cleaning homes until it is safe for us to resume. With access to sanitisers and proper PPE being unreliable, we felt it was the most responsible choice we could make for the health of our members, our clients and the public. Especially with so many families now isolating at home. It was a difficult decision, but one we made together.... As a worker owned co-operative, our concern isn’t maximising profit, but mutual aid. We help each other access dignified livelihoods by providing an important service to our community. In these trying times of Covid-19, our commitment to these goals is stronger than ever. We are meeting regularly (online, of course!), helping each other, and working out how we can adapt our services to work safely in this rapidly-changing and uncertain landscape. We’d like to thank our supporters, our friends at the Earthworker Cooperative, and especially all our amazing clients, some of whom have even generously continued to pay for their regular cleans to support the co-op through this major disruption. We’ll keep you updated on how we are going, and if you’re interested in our domestic cleaning services for when we reboot, please get in touch.
