23.01.2022 Hi all. Kids classes today start at 5pm and still run for 45 minutes. Today our kids class is being by Lewis Pink from Redhead. I will be there with you all as well. Adults classes are at 6. We are extremely lucky today to have Master @Ron Rees taking our adult class, come along and take advantage of his wealth of knowledge and experience. Come along even if it is your first time joining us on Zoom. Hope to see you all this evening.

23.01.2022 Don't forget to register for Black Belt training if you are going.

23.01.2022 Hi guys, for those expressing the wish to do extra training I will be going to Master Rees 1630 class at Central Coast Hapkido. Give me a call.

23.01.2022 Master Moekaa always said Hapkido was a big family, and we have so many friends across the association. On a whim, Neve and I jumped in the car and drove to Byron for their first class of the year. Had a great night with Master Tupuna Moekaa, Dom and Eli and all their students. Last year I was trying to visit as many clubs as I could in the year but was cut short by Covid. This year I am three clubs down already. Hope to see you all at your clubs soon.

22.01.2022 All right all you people who wanted the dojang opened early. As discussed at the end of last year I will be going to Tuggerah dojang tomorrow to train with Master Rees from 6pm. Show me you meant it when you said you wanted to start training early and meet me there.

22.01.2022 We will commence training on Monday 15th June with certain conditions.I will be in touch with further information.

21.01.2022 Hi all. Just a reminder that online kids classes are only on Thursdays at 5pm. There is no kids class today. Adults class is at 6pm as normal.

20.01.2022 Great night working on pole, using it from the warm up till we bowed out. Creative ways working around social distancing. Well done everyone there.

15.01.2022 Congratulations to one of our black belts, Steven Gray and his wife Cassie on the birth of their first child, Morgan Stephanie Gray.

14.01.2022 We are still unsure if Redhead Hapkido is able to go back next week so I cannot say for certain if this is my last week of online classes yet. Train like it is and let's go out with a couple of great classes. Don't be afraid to join us even if you haven't been online yet. Adults tomorrow at 6pm and Thursday it is kids at 5pm and Adults straight after at 6. See you there.

13.01.2022 Hi all, tried a few things in last nights class which were more technical and I am not sure it really worked in the online classroom. The block we were working on is something that requires timing and commitment and I am not sure I got that across well enough to all students in the online forum. I will make it up to you all next class. :)

13.01.2022 Black belts and black tips, the last black belt training for the year is on this weekend at Northern Beaches. If you are going make sure to remember to book in on the AHA website for class numbers. Remember class numbers are still restricted due to Covid so it is a great opportunity to get up close with the teachings of Master Mitch Wertherell. It is a good chance to start to reconnect with our Hapkido family after what feels like a year apart. I have booked a spot, hope to see you there.

10.01.2022 Happy and safe Xmas to everyone and a great 2021

09.01.2022 With school going back full time next week I need to take a look at my online kids classes. I have students from Sydney, Wollongong and the Far North Coast coming to some classes and worry that those particularly from Sydney will no longer be able to make it at 4 and so from next week (26th May) I will move the kids classes back to a 5pm start. There has been a slow drop in numbers coming to the Tuesday class. I will see how it goes this week (today at 4) and next week at 5p...m as I may drop back to just one kids class a week which will be on Thursday. I will let everyone know in advance if the Tuesday class is going to be dropped or not. Numbers for adult classes has stayed strong throughout the whole period and will continue on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6pm until we know more about when clubs will be going back. Thank you to everyone who has been joining in and making our online classes a lot of fun and a great success. As I said to you last week, there are about 20 of you always there and it has certainly become 'our' class and not mine. Keep providing me with requests for things you would like to work on. Instructors who are there, or who miss teaching and want to join us, let me know if there is anything in particular, or any section of the class, that you would like to teach!

08.01.2022 Classes are back on Monday! Looking forward to seeing how everyone's training has been going!

08.01.2022 Hi Adults, we have had a request for some sparring drills so if you have been watching Sam's videos on the Sutherland Hapkido Club Facebook page you will be ahead of the curve. :) See you at 6.

07.01.2022 We're back! Hapkido starts again on Monday night. There will be some differences in that we will be maintaining social distancing, kids class will go for 50 minutes to allow us to have the kids out before the adults come. As we are only allowed a limited amount of people at one time parents are asked not to stay to watch at this point in time. One of the instructors will walk the kids down after class to meet their parents outside. Kids are asked to be in uniform with belts ...tied before they arrive. Adults are asked not to turn up until 5 minutes to 7. If you turn up early please wait outside. At this stage adult classes will only go for 1 hour till we get into the swing of training with these limitations. Adults are not to share juktos due to the soft handle. Poles and Danbons can be sanitized and shared however please do not pick up another person's weapons unless you have checked with them. If you have your own please remember them. If you don't have your own danbon please try to arrange to get one. If you are not sure talk to an instructor about what you will need. See you all soon!

03.01.2022 See you online tonight at 5pm for the kids class and 6pm for adults.

02.01.2022 I feel it has been shown I need to get my travelling mojo back. Pre-covid I had made it a goal to travel to every club this year and had made a good start. I have found it difficult to get back into the swing with some restrictions lifted but decided today is the day. Jumping in the car and heading down the coast to train with Master Ron Rees. If you have the opportunity to travel to other clubs get back into it. Remind me to as well.

02.01.2022 Gday everyone. Apologies about today's kids class. My wife's work meeting is still going so I am still unable to get the class started. So sorry for the late notice, I have been holding off hoping we could get started but it just isn't going to happen. Sorry again. Hope to see you on Thursday.
