25.01.2022 For those who weren't able to participate in the Official Opening of the Graeme Stevenson OAM exhibition at Red Hill Gallery (and via Zoom) back on 27 August, it's your lucky day! The session via Zoom and broadcast live into the Gallery was recorded and you can watch it using the link below. It was an insightful discussion with Graeme and we're thrilled to have some of his wonderful pieces available for viewing online, in our virtual gallery and in person at Red Hill (you can catch a sneak peek in this video). If you have any questions about available works, please don't hesitate to contact us on (07) 3368 1442.
24.01.2022 Kayo Yokoyama spends many labour intensive hours engraving delicate pieces with diamond-tipped tools in a technique that harks back to ancient Roman and Egyptian cultures. Quite simply all Kayo wants is for people to look at them and say "I love that - I want it" they can take it home and be happy - something to put a smile on your face. And this piece 'Seekers' by Kayo definitely gives us something to smile about! Find out more about Kayo Yokoyama and see more of her pieces ...using the link below. https://qoo.ly/3apic8

We will be confirming a new exhibition opening date once rest...rictions ease. Keep an eye out on our socials for updates. 22.01.2022 What a year to be a woman in business, to be anyone in business in fact! As today is Business Women's Day, I wanted to reflect somewhat on the past six months. Let me just say, it has not been easy. There have been many new challenges to overcome and certainly a lot of learning, but I feel stronger to have made it through to the other side. After having to close the gallery to the public earlier this year and not knowing what the future held, I am very proud of where we are t...oday. Red Hill Gallery went virtual back in June when we launched our first online exhibition as well as online sales. Multiple virtual exhibitions later, and even a virtual exhibition launch, we are powering forward and relishing every challenge we come across! It's time like these I feel lucky to be surrounded by a great network who have supported me in business and in life during both the good and the not so good times. Here's to whatever comes next by JvB Photography with Starr Art for Women's Network Australia taken pre-Covid.

Bold colour combinations, daring brush strokes, irreverent drips and enticing eyes define the power of her ima...ges to seduce the onlooker. And this piece 'Taurus' is certainly mesmerising! 01.01.2022 Artist: Herman Pekel The art teachers of Hermans youth, Roger Webber, Ernest Buckmaster and Lance McNeill were all primarily oil painters, but the experience o...f painting with them on location left a strong impression on Herman, giving him the freedom of spontaneity and leaving him an intuitive painter, ultimately working from the light source. Herman painted spasmodically until 1981 before commencing a Fine Arts degree at RMIT and studying under Dale Hickey and Jeff Makin. Like many young artists Herman experimented for a time with abstract expressionism, but he is now well known for his oils and watercolours. Herman is an artist of energy and enthusiasm. He is able to see a painting in almost any subject matter and is capable of producing award winning work in oil, watercolour or gouache.
