20.01.2022 A fabulous day on Sunday at Main Ridge Day. Great speakers on such diverse topics as Sustainable Houses, Dolphin Research, Integrity in the 21st Century, Diabetes and Heart Health and using Defibrillators and First Aid. The Funky Farm was a great hit with snakes, crocodiles, wombats etc to pat; and the SES and Coast guard were there with chain saws and a big boat to climb on as well as games on the oval. The CFA also had their trucks out. And the Lions Hearing Bus was conduct...ing hearing tests. There was a Barbeque, Gozleme and a beautiful Devonshire Tea at the bowls club. We are so grateful to the local businesses who supported us in a fabulous raffle. We had terrific prizes from: Trofeo Estate Many Little Bar/Bistro Maxs Restaurant Peninsula Hot Springs The Eagle Boneo Maze Food on the Hill Cafe Rosebud Cinemas Endota Spa Poppies in Red Hill Gordon Studio Glass Blowers Compleat Angler in Rosebud Red Hill Lions would like to extend our thanks to these wonderful businesses who enable us to continue our work in helping those in our community who are in need of help. 19.01.2022 Together with Lions Flinders District, we raised $11,500 from the Red Hill Market last Saturday. Thank you to all the volunteers, CFA members and helpers that assisted on the day. Many people stayed way longer than their rostered hours, and did more than was asked. A lot of the public donated more than $5 per car, and we were asked to keep the change on many occasions. Even people who didnt attend the market donated. Lots of really positive feedback on how smoothly it all ran which is a great credit to everyone involved. It was one of the biggest markets we have had and are so grateful to everyone involved. Thank you so very much

08.01.2022 I wanted to see first hand what the Lions Need for Feed did. So I hitched a ride with the convoy heading to East Gippsland. We started in Officer South, with 40 vehicles, all with donated hay. We headed to Tralalgon where the Tralagon Lions provided coffee and some snags. Then off to Bairnsdale with a couple of police escorts along the way. I got a little emotional seeing all the people who came out to see the convoy, and had flags, or cameras out to cheers everyone one. Lunch was provided in Bairnsdale by the Ambulance Victoria Union, and then everyone headed out to their various locations including, Buchan, Bruthen and other closer destinations. Such generosity! I am really proud to be a volunteer with the Lions. Imagine if more people volunteered! How much more would be possible? Merrin
