25.01.2022 We are very happy to hear Harrison has made a full recovery! Thank you to the BVSC The Animal Hospital and BVECCS Emergency Vet for all their hard work in helping Harrison.

25.01.2022 AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION Ginger is a male desexed cat of unknown age. This cat came to us in a pretty bad state. He had an open wound on his stomach and leg and a severe skin infection. After many months and many operations Ginger is finally ready to find his fur-ever home. Ginger requires some special attention and needs to be an indoor only cat in a single cat home as he is FIV positive. He loves chin scratches and food more than anything else.... If you think Ginger would be a great addition to your family please contact Red Hill Veterinary Clinic on (07) 3369 3444 (Check the comments for some cute videos of your future best friend)

20.01.2022 This week the team at the Red Hill Veterinary Clinic had the pleasure of performing our first ever laparoscopic gastropexy. Miley is a 12 month old Groodle who had this elective procedure done at the same time as her laparoscopic spey. Dr Fraser Galloway performed the procedure, which is designed to prevent gastric dialation and volvulus (GDV). GDV results in twisting of the stomach and bloat and can quickly turn into an emergency. A laparoscopic gastropexy uses keyhole surg...ery to adhere a part of the stomach to the abdominal wall, thereby preventing the stomach from being able to twist on itself. Miley is now five days post op this minimally invasive procedure and is doing great! GDV are most commonly seen in large breed dogs with deep chests. If you feel your pup would benefit from a laparoscopic gastropexy please feel free to contact the team at the Red Hill Veterinary clinic; one of our helpful nurses will be happy to discuss this with you.
