25.01.2022 October is Down syndrome awareness month and normally, Down Syndrome NSW would be holding it's annual walk to raise awareness and raise money to support the services they provide to families. BUT ... of course Covid-19 has meant they have had to change plans and GO VIRTUAL with #21yourway #21yourway is a great way to raise awareness of Down syndrome and provide an opportunity to fundraise Why 21?... Most people have 23 pairs of chromosomes in each of their cells (46 in total). People with Down syndrome have 47 chromosomes in their cells. They have an extra chromosome 21, which is why Down syndrome is also sometimes known as trisomy 21. We have set up a RED HOT & COUNTRY Linedancers and Friends and we'd like you to take part by doing a linedance everyday for 21 days .... or if you are super keen - 21 dances for 21 days !! 06.01.2022 Happy New Year everyone, just a quick update on classes for Red Hot & Country Linedancers. Kelvin is in the process of organising new venues for both Nepean and Kemps Creek classes as due to the current climate, we are not sure when we will be able to get back into our club venues. When we have final confirmation we will let you know and, of course, we will be following all current NSW health guidelines for our classes. Keep watch on this page and will let you know as soon as we are confirmed.
