24.01.2022 COVID-19 Update Returning to Playgroup We are happy to announce that our playgroups and programs will recommence from Monday 13 July 2020, in line with govern...ment guidelines, aligned to the commencement of School Term 3 and Stage 3 of the Governments Roadmap. Stage 3 also increases the number of people that can gather at one time to 100, allowing us greater flexibility to welcome everyone back at once. Thank you for your patience! We know you are excited to get back to connecting face-to-face, but the most important consideration for us during this time has been the health and safety of our community our playgroup families, our team, and our valued partners. To comply with government regulations, each playgroup is required to have a COVID-Safe Plan before recommencing face-to-face gatherings. We are currently preparing resources to support our groups with this process. So things will be a little different for a while! Please be mindful that navigating this is unusual for all of us, there are new systems and procedures designed to keep us all healthy and safe, so please continue to be patient and kind to each other. In some circumstances, some of our playgroups (for example our intergenerational playgroups) may remain on hold due to increased health risks or restricted venue access. If you have questions about your specific group or program, please follow-up with your contact person, or alternatively, you can contact our team on [email protected]. We look forward to seeing you in person again soon, but in the meantime, please continue to connect with our online community through our Playgroup at Home Facebook group or visit our Playgroup at Home webpage (https://www.playgroupqld.com.au/playgroup-at-home/) for activities and resources to help you play at home. #staysafe #playgroupathome #playathome #playgroup

16.01.2022 Please be aware of this public health alert. If you are unwell, get tested.

15.01.2022 The Queensland Government recently reintroduced restrictions for gatherings in private homes and public spaces. Playgroup Queensland is a business operating und...er a COVID-Safe Plan, so we can continue to deliver during this time. Provided a playgroup has completed a COVID-Safe Plan or a school/organisation has provided an existing COVID-Safe Plan, they can continue to meet. Schools are required to follow the direction of the principal. All playgroup attendees must remain vigilant and comply with the requirements of COVID-Safe Plans. Playgroup Queensland does not endorse the recommencement of a playgroup that has not completed a plan. Playgroup Queensland respects and supports the individual decisions of groups regarding whether or not they continue to meet. Before attending a playgroup, please contact the group contact person to make sure they are operating. Visit our Find a Playgroup search tool on our website to find the contact details for your local playgroup. We understand that navigating this COVID-19 environment has been unusual and quite difficult for many of us, so please be kind to yourself and reach out if you need assistance. Please continue to monitor public health advice. Playgroup Queensland will continue to provide updates. Read the update here: https://www.playgroupqld.com.au/coronavirus/ #COVID-19
